Good Morning Everyone,
I am up early today...no particular reason.  So, I thought I would start Roll Call.

I missed my AA meeting yesterday, so that is on my agenda today, right after I drive my sponsor to the train station first thing.  Then, I have some stuff to do around here.  Tonight, I have my Special Olympics meeting.  That is my boring life.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish boring can be good.

I was woke up ( is that proper grammar?) at 1030 last night by a phone call from my sister to tell me Happy Birthday but then to go on and tell me about DRAMA happening on facebook with her step daughter and my step niece. Thankfully this is one of the persons that I deleted and blocked from my facebook account and so I did not see any of it. It is a good thing because I am not sure how civil i could have been in regards to what she was posting. Anyhow, so then I was up for a bit trying to calm my mind and go back to sleep.  Jason and I went to dinner last night and I baked and cooked for a Chili Cook off we have at work today. SF cake and SF brownies,
Corn Bread and Chili. it was a nice birthday overall.  I am kind of kicking myself because of course I am focusing on the one person who did not acknowledge my BD. So many greetings and loving words and that is what I focus on. My father did not call, send an email, card, or anything. My BD is two days after his, so how could he forget? Oh well.

So work today chili cook off, then tonight we have dinner with friends then we will start packing for the weekend, got alot to do. Hope you have a wonderful day

Good Morning All!!

Nic - so sorry your Dad didnt' contact you for your birthday :(

I am at work today - last night I was able to feel Mia's tooth popping through! Hopefully that means she'll start to feel better (and therefore sleep in her crib) again! I am at wor****il 4 - running out at lunchtime for a few things. After work straight home to hang out with my Grandmother and Mia. I left a big pan of chicken thighs, potatoes onions and garlic to go in the oven for dinner and I'll make up some cauliflower.

Good morning Trish & PA!
It is NOT a tired Thursday for me because I went to bed before 8 last night.  I have no idea why, but I was exhausted.  I feel pretty darn good this morning though.  Today I wor****il 4:30, pick Caleb up from intramural health & fitness at 5:30, then the 2 of us are going to the Penn State men's basketball game.  In past years we have gone to almost all of the men's & women's games, but this season we have only made it to a few.  Our schedules are much fuller and with him new to middle school, he is trying very hard to do well.  Well that plus boy scouts takes up a chunk of time.  Ii have started training for teh Philly stair climb.  I do stair during part of my lunch break now.  I just have to raise the money for it now.  Have a great one everyone.

Morning Trish.. ...Get your ass to your meeting, sweetie..

Liz..let's hope that tooth breaks through so you can all rest easy and Mia is out of her misery.

Nic-I'm sorry your dad didn't call and that you had to deal with your sister's crap.  But, I'm glad you have Jason and all of us in your life to make things better.

Today for me will be a double inspection kind of day...1st is my TWO YEAR checkup with the surgeon.  I have mixed emotions about it.  I have not been doing well lately and I don't even want to look at the scale.  I am excited about how far I've come, but am not happy about how I've been lately.  I AM going to have him schedule an endoscopy to see if there is something going on with my pouch.  I am not convinced that my pouch has not stretched and I need that closure so I know where to go from here.

From there, I am taking my car to be inspected.  Hopefully, there is nothing wrong with it and I will only have to pay the cost of the emissions.  Inspection for the life of the car was included when I bought it.  I will have them bring me home with their shuttle and will work for 4 hours.  Then, have them come get me and Siehara so I can pick up the car.

Siehara has Hebrew School tonight.  While she is there, I want to go to the running store in Bethlehem to try to get new sneakers.  Then, home to do some cleaning up as I will have a few overnight guests (read-drunkards who I won't allow to drive home) Friday night.  We are going to Sand's to see the band I saw in AC.  They are awesome and we are going to have a blast!!

At some point, in my spare time, I would like to try to find some new bedding.  Mine is falling apart and it's time to get some new stuff.  I will also have Siehara try to sew my existing stuff together with her sewing machine since I have no clue how to thread the damn thing.. lol.

Off to shower to get ready for my busy day.. hope everyone has a great one! The weather is going to be beautiful for the next couple, so get outside and enjoy!

Hi Lisa,
I did get to my meeting.  In fact, I have made five meetings in five days so far.  I am determined to do a meeting everyday, if possible.

Thanks for the kick.

Hugs,
Trish

Great job Trish!!

You came up today (nameless, of course) when I went for my 2 year check up.  I was talking to the social worker and she suggested that I check out an OA meeting.  I was telling her that I wasn't sure because I have seen how my sister's group is and then I said it was funny that I was saying that because I'm always telling you to get your ass to a meeting.

So she says to me (remember this is the first time I met this woman).. "Lisa, get your ass to a meeting!"

I deserved that.

Lisa,
I did OA for a long time, but was also juggling AA at the same time.  I have friends in OA that I care about, but still need to be at AA for now.  The Steps are the same, except food is used instead of alcohol.  Me, I am addicted to everything, so I just try to practice the steps in every area of my life, not just alcohol.

There are different OA groups, just like there are different AA groups.  And, the key is, the program is the steps, not the group.

Check it out.  I will probably eventually get back to some OA meetings.

Hugs,
Trish
