Thrilling Thursday Roll Call
I am very happy for and proud of Jason. He was given a very remarkable promotion and raise yesterday, it was long overdue and finally he asked for it, That is the thing about realizing and learning that you have worth. You start to require it of others and sometimes they surprise you and say " yeah you are right you are worth that" he is also very close to releasing several paid versions of Droid Apps that he has been working on. ( for fun I might add oye) I see my opportunity to start asking for a Alaskan Cruise LOL.
Today I am work then going to see my Friend Christy tonight with my other friend Kara, She had her son in Jan and I still have not made it to visit her and meet Christian ugh.
I hope you all have a great day.

I am awake but tired still lol. I am at work now and go to dentist in a few minutes. Tonight I visit with parents and have a meeting to attend tonight.
Life always so busy lol.
Good news is I am on a hot streak, Friday I won $100 at the WV casino and Sunday won the final score of the office SB pool and last night won $300 at local casino. So I guess it is true that wins come in three.
Congratulations to Jason!!! Woohoo - am glad that he is being recognized for he crazy demands that they continue to put on him!
Now - re: alaskan cruise - Mark and I are going on one this June - Princess Cruise lines / Golden Princess out of Seattle on June 18th! Hop on board!!!! It was his 50th birthday present from me :)
Have been working a ridiculous amount of hours lately and am travelling next week, so I am feeling so overwhelmed by life right now that I feel like a caged animal - no patience.. must decompress... must decompress. Will work out tonight when I get home to blow off steam.. am working from home tomorrow, so I will get to sleep in an extra hour (yay)
That's about it for me - am late getting off to work.. letting my car get nice and toasty before I brave it.
xoxo,
Maura

Way to go Jason!!!! I'm glad he was able to step up and get what he deserves.
Today has me up working and HUNGRY...... I am going for my 2 YEAR blood work at 8:15 so I am still in fasting mode. I don't think the results are going to get to the doc in time, but at least I'm getting them done.
Just got done reading of the terrible tragedy in Allentown. There was a gas explosion that destroyed at least 4 homes and caused the evacuation of homes in the area, as well as a high rise senior citizen building nearby. www.mcall.com/news/breaking/mc-allentown-house-explodes-0209 11,0,7470195.story
I texted Eric and he did go out to help. Other than being extremely tired, he is home and ok. Thank goodness. Pam also just contacted me. She was working and is headed home.
The lab where I am headed is right near where this happened. I called and they said they are still open so I guess I will see some of the devastation.
Back to my day.... after work, I will take Siehara over to Hebrew School where I will stay and stuff envelopes with Sisterhood related fliers for mailing.
From Hebrew School, off to the gym for pilates. Then, home to bed. Have to start thinking about packing for some wonderful things happening this weekend for the daughter of one of our own.

That is AWESOME news Nic! Good for Jason - and here I thought it was just because he was a cutie! :) When you are mentioning the Alaskan Cruise - don't forget to mention that you want to take his favorite tiny Jew and her beer drinking hubby...just sayin! :)
Today will be another fun-filled no school day for me - going to play on here for a little, have breakfast with Larry - maybe - and get to hot gluing the pics onto the centerpeices, finish writing up some things that will be said on Saturday, get to the bank to take out lots of money I don't want to part with, but is there for just this occassion. This afternoon, I have my appointment with my hair dresser for a cut and color, and then to get the brows and lips done - still haven't gotten the mani - Molly wants to pick out my color, so that is tomorrow's event. After the hair and face, I will come home and Molly and I, and possibly Em, will put the favors together. I am thinking that this will all come together and it will turn out to be a terrific celebration of an amazing kid who has worked so hard to prove to herself what she can do.
We had the family rehearsal yesterday and she is so completely ready - and confident. These events are always eye-opening for the parents - our little girls and boys really do know what is important and get up in front of so many people and just shine.....For all her challenges, she just plowed right through and will most definitely make me weep with pride - yes - more kvelling from me!
Hope your Thursday is thrilling too! :)

Good Morning Nicole,
Congrats to Jason. That is awesome. Go for the cruise. That is my dream vacation.
Today has me heading to my podiatrist's office, and getting a follow-up on my infection and hammer toes. I got the x-rays yesterday. Then, I plan to hit Giant for some yogurts that are on sale, and I have a coupon for. They were out of my flavor earlier this week, so I am going back.
I also have to get my haircut. I wanted to get it done yesterday, but got sidetracked and forgot.
Have a good day and stay warm.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Congratulations to Jason! That's wonderful - very happy for you both.
Maura, have a fabulous time on your cruise! We were invited to go on an Alaska cruise later this year but financially it's just not happening right now. We love cruising so hopefully one day we'll get up that way.
As for me today is my last day in the office until February 23!! WOO-HOO!! I've started getting things together for vacation and making my list (I'm a list girl...) - hubby is working tomorrow but I'll be home doing laundry, packing, running a few errands, etc. We're heading to the beach for the weekend to celebrate my BFF's birthday, then Sunday morning we'll get up and head south for Daytona Beach.
While we're vacationing we'll also be scouting out the area down there to see where we want to buy next year - our plan is to purchase a house in that area early next year then move down there by 2013. I'm ready for my husband to retire, and I miss my family. I will miss all my friends up here, but it's time to move on. We know we can't afford to stay where we are when my husband does retire and I don't want the man working the rest of his life - we've been very fortunate that he's healthy and fit (he's 72) but I want him to be able to enjoy some leisure time.
We'll also be going to a NASCAR race while we're there - not the big Daytona 500 race, but a smaller race next Thursday - I think there are 8 or 10 of us going so it should be a great time. My younger sister and her husband are joining us next Wednesday - she lives in Ohio and it was MINUS 7 out there this morning with MINUS 23 degree wind chills - oh yeah, she's ready for vacation too!!
So I will try to check in from time to time - stay warm...Kathy
