Good Morning PA.

It is wet out there but it does not seem to be icy at all. Thank Goodness I shoveled more ice off my driveway then is every necessary again. Hate ice.

At work today, the mood here is kind of yucky managment have been moody since the audit but dont seem to tolerate much emotion or reaction from staff. I am trying to be the equalizer as usual.

Have clients this evening if the weather holds up, Jason is still home sick but getting better. You know if he actually went to the Dr then he was sick. I have been santizing every surface of the house.

Hope you all have a wonderful day today. Try and find a little or big bright spot in it. After all we do not get this day back.

Good Morning My dear - I also noticed that it was rather "warm" out this morning. Our driveway had some ice but was mostly slushy. I am at work and dealing with similar situations. The boss is a bit testy and doesn't want to see anything but nose to the grindstone going on here. We got yelled at friday for ordering lunch. It's just because he is overwhelmed and worried about cash flow (we have  few big accounts that are being VERY slow pay)

So at lunch today I am running to get sal****er fish food, stopping at Wegmans to get some lunch and coming back to the office. AFter work I need to stop at Sears and exchange something for Chris then home to make dinner and chase after Mia :)

Morning Nic and Pa.. Ice does suck.  I didn't clean my car off yesterday, so I'm sure it will be harder to do today.. unless of course, it melts off.. I can hope, right?!?   Hope the mood at work gets better for you and Liz..

I'm here working while Siehara and her friend are in the living room.  They have a 2 hr delay and apparently, Julie didn't get the message.  Oh well.. Siehara was up anyway, so at least she has someone to hang with until the bus comes.

I will write out her letter this morning while she is in school and it will be on her bed by the time she gets home a little after 11.  There are conferences the rest of the week, so they get out of school at 11.

Tonight, Siehara will have Bat Mitzvah tutoring.  I guess I'll go to Wegman's or Amelia's while she is there to pick up a few things we need for the house.  Later, we'll head to the gym.  I haven't been there yet this week and I am feeling it.

Early to bed tonight, I hope.  It's been feeling good getting to bed before 10.

Be careful out there everyone!

GM:

Sorry Jason is still sick and you are dealing with the fall out at work.  It will get better soon!

I need to start logging my food more carefully.  I write stuff down but don't write down all the details.  I'm currently stuck at goal (150) which is good but i my next goal is to have a 'normal' BMI with some buffer for rebound gains.  Thats another 10 lbs but it just doesnt seem to want to move.  so... I will start logging all the details and see if maybe I'm eating more than I think!

The weekend is gonna be aweseomes.  Snow of Friday, SCA event on Saturday and Please touch on Sunday.  All is good.  (and the countdown to my surprise for my hubby is underway).

Have a great day all.

Good Morning Nicole & PA:

Hope Jason feels better soon.

Today is the last day of my staycation.  I still have a lot of packing left to get to.  Did not realize we have soooo much stuff around this house.  I have decided we are going to be more mindful of this once the house is completed.

I do have coding class tonight so I'll leave my house around 2:30 to get there on time.  With all the construction on 95 there are always delays going south from up this way that time of day.

I do have to get to the post office to ship back a winter coat I found online - called them, was assured it was very heavy, coat arrived it is a piece of crap.  I can't belive a company would actually sell something that low quality - but this is the American way now.....nothing of good quality that lasts sold in American anymore.  So sad....

Hope everyone has a great day....

Good morning all - no ice down my way this morning, thankfully. And it was warm enough to finally melt all the snow off the driveway - of course this just clears the way for the next stinking system coming in tomorrow night into Friday - UGH - I am so over all this stinking snow again! I hate to wish my life away but I'm going to Florida next month and it can't get here soon enough.

I'm at work - looks like it'll be a full day - which is good because then I don't get bored and want to graze. Have to get out to the card store at lunchtime - little sister's birthday is Sunday and haven't gotten her cards yet - will see if I can find something cute for her at the card store - she lives in Ohio but we're all meeting in Florida at my other sister's house - can't wait!!

Dinner tonight is already made - chicken orzo soup - made that last night and it turned out to be a good batch - so that's already done and just needs heating. Love meals like that.

Talked to my oldest granddaughter last night - she graduates in May and I was going to fly out (Seattle) for it but she said she'd rather come here after graduation and spend some time with me. She's graduating from an 'alternative' school out there and it will be a very small ceremony - no cap and gown or anything like that, which is really funny because I graduated high school a year early and my graduation was like that - in a small classroom with about 15 people and I was in jeans and a t-shirt. So while I would love to be there I will be able to spend more time with her if she comes back here. So I'll save the plane ticket I have to bring her back.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Kathy

Good morning Nic and all of PA - Nic - send Jason our love and we hope he feels better real soon!  After all - you have another VERY exciting weekend planned...:)

So - let me start off by saying - Larry is fine.....He was at the explosion when it happened in the Tacony section of Phialdelphia last night.  I, thankfully, was blissfully unaware of how close he actually was until he gave me the run down this morning.  He was on a call to the neighborhood doing evacuations and had to go back into a house to get someone's meds a few houses from the ones that exploded.....WOW!  He is thankfully completely unharmed - and I can NOT wait to get home to see him.  I am usually not at all afraid of the job he does, his part in these incidents are normally after the fact and he is there to help the injured - the fact that this happened just a few houses from where he was working brings it all right back into how dangerous his job really is.  I remember talking a lot about his line of work after 9/11/01 and felt comforted knowing that although anything could POSSIBLY happen, mathematically and statistically, (You know me - the math geek) he would not be stuck in that type of situation.  Turns out - you just never know do you!

So anyway - that is my plan, to get home from school as quickly as possible and climb into bed with him to watch him sleep, talk or do whatever it is just so that I know he is safe and unharmed.  Tonight I am headed to the Barix Support Group Meeting so long as Larry is OK.

Happy Wednesday all!

Since I don't live in Philly and don'****ch the news, I knew nothing about this.  BUT, I am very glad  that Larry is safe.

Glad to hear Larry is safe.  Our prayers continue to go out to the Philly fire/rescue men & women as wall as PGW.

That is my old neighborhood when I was a kid.  All my cousins grew up there as well.  My mom grew up in Tacony, and she and dad settled there until 1963 when we moved to S. Jersey for dad's job.  As I was watching the news I was telling Gene exactly where it all happened.  I always manage to amaze him with my internal GPS....
