Well actually genius - the make-up thing is a teen-ager thing - it just so happens that she will be 13 in a month.  That is just a coincidence.  I want to be sure she wears appropriate maek-up and not trashy things that the girls wear - see - On occassion I do know what I am doing! :)

Stef funny you should mention that I drove by Northeast High school one morning and was appalled at what some of those girls are looking like! Pants low on the hop, thong strip showing and a ton of make up call me square but my Mother would have whupped my ass!  We know you know what you are doing. And those are the parents who have the gall to wonder how their daughters got into trouble! I think a charm bracelet is cute.  Brighton has some nice ones.

 Siehara knows that the makeup has to meet my approval.  She is actually very good at making it look nice.  

BUT, she has only worn makeup out of the house maybe 5 or so times in the 1 1/2 years since she's been allowed and that was always for a special occasion. Yes, she got her period a week after her 11th birthday.  She hasn't worn it to school at all.  

I like the idea of the charm bracelet! No presents for me. Heck, not even a pat on the head, just the pad speech. I think I'm going to go by myself a "you became a woman" pressie!

Want to come with me shopping - it can be a two person deal!  Two presents - two women! :)
