I am back
I managed to get into this forum, finally. I still can't access it with Internet Explorer, so I came in via Google Chrome.
I have been doing well, and hope to check into Roll Call starting tomorrow.
Just letting you all know, I am alive, sober and still struggling with the sugar. Same old, same old. My exercise has been limited due to my back pain returning with a vengeance. I see the pain specialist's nurse practitioner on Tuesday.

I had reported the problem I was having to OH, and they suggested I try something other than Internet Explorer, while their techies get to work on the problem.
How goes the studying?

Hi Ida,
I am hanging in there. I have not started at NHS yet. They are doing the part where they check my references, and that seems to be taking longer than I expected. I called last week, and they were still working on it.
My ex studied Economics, and I took Macroeconomics in undergrad to see what it was all about...helped me when I taught Social Studies. In grad school I took three different stats courses, with a not so nice prof, but I learned a lot. I learned I never want to take stats again. I had taken it in undergrad, and then took took a course when I was pursuing a Masters in Counseling which did not transfer to my MSW program, so I had three classes to take then. Argh. I don't envy you.
Thanks for asking about me.
Hugs,
Trish

It took them a long time to check Gene's references also. He almost gave up that he was actually hired.
I've had economics, maroeconomice, micro economics, 2 statistics classes, 2 accounting classes, and a ton of algebra classes. I even took the math class that teaches teachers how to teach math to elementary age children and that was way to advanced for me. Statistics I had to re-take with a different instructor that was amazing, he worked with me and kept telling me to calm down when I'd hit those brick walls. I have absolutely no idea how I managed a B in his class.
Gene went through the same thing you did with all the stats classes for each of his master's degrees. He is just like me with math, he's better at math but when it comes to the hard math tries to help me......He is so supportive that is what helps me the most.
Congratulations on your upcoming year of sobriety. SO AWESOME!!!!
Hugs.,

Take care - glad to see you back. Kathy
When you are missing, I wonder and think about you. But often "hope" it's just a break to take care of yourself!
I was also wondering about the job you were talking about a few week ago.
I hope all is well with you and the stress of the holidays and the family dealing that go with it, have passed and you are feeling well, positive and refreshed for a new and successful year!
Take care! Of yourself and Utley!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
Thanks again,
Trish
