 Good Morning PA:

Almost ready for work.  Work today till 4, then not sure of the rest of my day.  I need to get to the Mall to get a pair of warm winter type boots (warm winter type boots).  Home to my treadmill.

Gene is working today into later this evening so it is one of those days where I must amuse myself.

Have a great day and stay warm.

Morning Ida..

working today, too..

I've been feeling like I've been in a funk lately.  I've been crying for no reason, my eating has been out of control and I just feel really sh*tty for the past few days.  Not really sure what is going on, but I'm sure it has a little to do with SAD, a little to do with the way I have been eating, a little to do with all the hours I've been working, and a little to do with who the hell knows what.

I'm starting off today with a better attitude.  IT IS GOING TO BE A GOOD DAY!  I am going to take control of my attitude and my food.  I'm going to stick to liquids for the majority of the day.

After work, Siehara and I are meeting up with a friend from work and her daughter at Dave & Busters in Plymouth Meeting so the girls can hang out and my friend and I can catch up.  I am going to look at their menu ahead of time so I can be prepared and order wisely.  If I cannot find anything on their menu, I will eat (or have a shake) before we go.

Other than work and D&B, I plan to get outside at lunch time and soak up some Vit D.  Apparently having my blinds open during the day is not enough.  Maybe I'll walk up to the pet store to get more food for kitteh.

Hope everyone can start their day with a fresh, positive attitude.  I'm trying!

Good morning Ida and Lisa - and everyone one else who ventures over here.....I am up early again - I am telling you - come Monday morning - when I have to go back to work, I am gonna be in one sad sad state!  So - we got A LOT done yesterday.  Rearranged Molly's bedroom furniture - Larry hung up a bunch of things in her room, got Emily to pick up her things of her floor so daddy can hang HER shelves (That did not happen yesterday.)  Josh cleaned his room - or so he says - I am still a bit nervous to go down to the "boy/man" cave....I got the kitchen in a relatively organized manner - yes people, i DO know where the kitchen is....just NOT the oven! :)  Went to see Harry Potter 7, part 1 - finally - enjoyed it - somehow HAVE to get Emily to laser tag this week.  Larry and the girls got their passport pictures taken.

Today, we are headed to the post office to get the passports registered and sent off - 3 million dollars for that venture - isn't it enough that the cost of travelig overseas is exorbanent?  Home to get Emilys shelves up so we can organize her 40 million stuffed animals that I keep swearing we are geting rid of....yes - that is NOT happening.  Have a doctors appointment this afternoon with my plastics guy for a check-up.  And as for tongiht....seeing that Lisa is only going to be 45 minutes away from me - I think I may crash her Plymouth Meeting treck....whatcha think Lisa?!?!

Hope your Wednesday is wacky ina wonderful sort of way!  (and yes - I deliberately did NOT mention the Eagle's game last night - I think Larry thinks that they lose JUST to aggravate him......NOT cute!)

Good morning - something funky going on with my PC or this site today - hopefully it's working.

I'm at work and brought my little furball with me to keep me company. Of course I thought I was going to be alone yesterday and 3 people showed up while they were 'supposedly' on vacation? Who does that? Man, when I'm on vacation, I'm ON vacation - I don't even think about this place!

Anyway, Jude and I are here playing ball and getting some work done. I may undecorate today since he's with me and it's hard to get much else done while throwing the ball constantly!

Not much on my agenda tonight - I think I'm with Lisa a little although I would consider mine more post-holiday depression or something. Missing my mom like crazy and just feeling a bit down. We're heading to our friends beach place for NYE so hopefully that'll cheer me up.

Have a good day everyone...Kathy

Good Morning All.

Had a whirlwind morning at work but my huge mock up is perfect and out the door! YAY! Now to wait for the final approvals so the flurry of activity can start all over again for the final product.

At wor****il 4 today unless I fall over from being sick and exhausted. IF anyone has any tips on getting a 7 month old to sleep please share!! She screams in her crib and only wants Mama to hold her.

After work stopping at Sears to exchange something and home to snuggle with my cuddle bug. She is so close to crawling!

Liz,
Is she screaming when you put her in her crib or is she waking up in the middle of the night wanting to be held? I know you said she was teething but babies need to learn how to soothe themselves back to sleep. It sounds like little Mia just wants to be held and if you keep doing that she is going to get into the habit of doing that and it's a tough habit to break. I know it's hard to hear a screaming baby in the middle of the night but going to her room and holding her to soothe her will only make her keep doing it more and more. My suggestion is to make sure that she is fed before put to bed and I don't know if a binky would help her soothe her gums or not. I am not a big beliver in binky but it helped my kids soothe themselves back to sleep. Just for a short time I would try that and see how she does. Hugs coming you way. I am so glad my kids are not that young anymore. LOL

Shilpa - Thanks for the advice. As soon as I set her down, no matter how deep of a sleep she is in she screams. She doesn't soothe herself, I've tried standing there and just patting her and singing and she cries until she is hysterical and throws up :( IF I can get her to sleep in her crib she'll sleep all night. This is something new the last like 5-6 nights. She's had a stuffy nose and I am pretty sure she is teething so I have been blaming it on that. She is VERY fidgety at night too. She has a bottle around 8 at bedtime and isn't ready again until 8-9am (she tells us, she won't take the bottle if she isn't hungry). She does take a pacifier but even that doesn't do it when she gets like that. I ordered a book last night, it got great reviews - we'll see!

Aaww it definately seems like she is teething but also that she is unable to soothe herself back to sleep because she has a stuffy nose. How about at humidifier would that help her a little? I can't imagine why she would be screaming her head off even when she is sleepy. Teething is what I would blame as well. Does she like music? Akash used to love that crib mobile that had the fish and water sounds in them. I know what you mean about throwing up when they are so agitated that they get hysterical and throw up my kids used to do that to. No fun. I am so sorry that this is happening but this too shall pass...I need to make a trip upto your house one of these days. I can't believe how time has flown 7 months already....She is absolutely adorable.
