 Hi everyone,

I am 2 weeks post-op and I am supposed to start taking 1000mcg of B12 sublingual daily. I went to Walmart today and all they had was 2500mcg, so does anyone know where I can get it in 1000mcg that won't cost an arm and a leg?

Thanks!
Jackie

If you live close to a Christmas Tree Shop they have a big selection of vitamins (and the 1000 mg B12) and are cheaper than any place I've found. I take 2500 mg and have no problem with it and my B12 levels are great.

GNC is where I get my sublingual B12.  It's not too expensive.

Wegmans has them in 1000, 2500 and 5000mcg.  Costco has a brand that i love (green bottle, white label - can't recall the name of it at the moment - maybe nature's bounty or something like that?)  in the 2500mcg as well and is the most affordable option I've found.

I take the 2500mcg and that seems to keep my levels in a good place.  High b12 is a good thing as long as it's not TOO high - it's not one of the ones that you have to worry about toxicity if you take too much.  And for many wls patients, keeping the levels up high enough is a real challenge.

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions! I ended up going to the GNC section at a Rite Aid and found a 1000mcg of the B12 for only about $17 with the 20% GNC discount and it will last me 4 months. The only problem is it takes FOREVER to dissolve!
