Super Saturday Roll Call
Good Morning Pennsylvania,
I have a busy day ahead of me, and I am up watching reruns of Criminal Minds. New addiction, since I never saw it when it was originally aired. My niece is in grad school studying forensic psychology, and would love to do an internship with the FBI.
Saturday has me getting to my AA meeting. I also intend to get to the gym for some elliptical work. It has been ages since I got there, and I am in need of the stress relief and endorphin buzz big time. Between Christmas and my current financial situation, I am having panic attacks more than ever these days.
I also must make a dessert for a dinner I will be attending at my ex-husband's house, where I will be meeting my sister-in-law's new fiance. Thing is, this sister-in-law is my deceased brother's wife, not my ex's sister. Ex and his wife are very gracious, and invite "my side of the family" to holiday meals and other occassions.
Between the gym and dinner, I will be taking Utley and the cookies up to the PetSmart doggie daycamp to give the girls taht work there the cookies shaped like dog biscuits for their Christmas present.

Good morning Trish - I like when you babble, it makes me feel so NOT alone! HA HA!
I am up in North Caolina. Had to sleep with two very sweet girls, Yes - these girls are MY children, obviously NOT Larry's, his children are obnoxious! Last nights festivities were so much fun. Having seen some people that I have NOT seen in years. It was amazing! However, there were food issues. We had dinner at a BBQ place - and I did have some salad, however, the protein, of which there was plenty, was all in what I am sure was VERY yummy, VERY sugary, sauces. I opted for some green beans and some brisket. It looked the least saucy. I was fine, dumping wise, however, I was VERY careful and only had a little. That left the yummy desserts after the service, about two hours later. Needless to say, there was NOTHING sugar free there - I, of course, stayed away, however, I did eat some Challah, as I was hungry and didn't have anything with me. Oh the joys of being away from home.
Today should be another challenge. I am headed to the resturant in the hotel for breakfast, not at all worried about that - eggs, however, the lunch after services this morning, I am VERY worried about - I guess there will be lots of nuts for me in my hand-bag....should be an interesting food day!
Anyway - see - there is my babbling.....I am about to get my family up and dressed and head to breakfast - then services. I am really looking forward to watching this amazing young man take to reading the Torah and joining the tradition of adults in Judaism. So spiritual! This afternoon will be hopefully some swimming with the kids, some napping....alone....and then the big celebration tonight with lots of dancing and smiling!

Today is a long day for me with errands, work and then the concert. Not many more of these left. The place I work is closing for a month. Not sure their customers will like it but they do need a break.
I am stressed as well. Not due to the holidays at all. I know the reason for the season and I don't have close relatives to be a part of. So, I don't have the usual holiday stresses in that area any way. It's ok. Finances are a big issue also. Its frustrating when you apply for jobs you know you are qualified for and hear nothing.
So much for that. Have a great day all!

Trish hope the stress settles down a little for you, and that all goes well with meeting the sister-in-law fiance.(will be praying for you)
Steffi eating away from home can prove to be a problem, especially when it is coupled with an extended stay of not having some better food choices around, hope all works with the issue.
Lots of choices for me today. I got all the laundry at my daughters house done and in control yesterday. They are going to her in laws today with the kids to see the grandparents, after she gets a few hours of sleep after having worked last nite. That leaves the house to me. I want to do some baking, I can just pack it up and take it with me to Tn., and avoid having to do it when I get there. I also want to get a pedicure, so I may start out with that first. Of course no day is complete without a trip to Walmart, I need to pick up the pictures I had printed up and send them to hubby in Pa, for him to distribute. Maybe I can even squeeze a movie in, as I am off the clock, and no kids to watch. (I love them all dearly, but need a brake at times) Start getting my stuff together to pack the car for our Christmas trip to the Tn. house. (can't actually load the car as my daughter drives it to work at the hospital at nite when she works) That's about it for me. Have a good day, and try to stay warm.\

Today has me headed to the pharmacy to pick up Siehara's meds which were supposed to be picked up earlier in the week.. oops.. at least she wasn't completely out, yet.
After that I'll head to synagogue where I am meeting up with a Catholic woman who babysat for the synagogue during the Jewish New Year services. She is very interested and intrigued by our religion, so I invited her to services and of course, for lunch after. Lunch will have good protein because Sisterhood prepared the meal. Siehara made her yummy egg salad and there is tuna. There is also a lentil casserole that I can have a bit of.. not too much, though b/c there is rice in it.
This afternoon, I plan to take a nap to get ready for the evening.
I am headed out with Tanya and Courtney to a holiday open house and then out dancing in Philly! Can't wait!! Siehara will be sleeping out, so the I will be the DD for the girls and we will crash at my place whenever we get in tomorrow morning.

I am off with Bob in a few minutes to do some errand running then we are heading to OC NJ for sticky buns at Mallon's for a gift for my parents, and OC Coffee Company for some of the best coffee around. Then it is meet the family night at my brother's bday dinner... Bob isn't nervous at all. I am so proud of him and who he is. I am not at all apprehensive about introducing him to my family... unlike times in the past. This is going to be a great day and a great night. Have a safe weekend!

I am finally up and dressed, now to begin today's activities. I have cooking and baking to do for church. That will take up all of my day and most of my evening. I also need to do some homework I want to clean up so I actually have two weeks off from school.
Gene is seeing his Saturday clients so I'm off to amuse myself.
