Wild Wednesday Roll Call

Good Morning PA,
I am up because I took a nap earlier and wacked my sleep pattern around again.

Wednesday has me finishing my cleaning, which is not much now.  I also have to get my bloodwork done, and then see the pain specialist.  My son and his girlfriend are due in late and I am getting pizza for him, because he loves this one pizza place.  They are staying at his gram's but I wanted to see them before Thursday.

I hope everyone gets their shopping done early, and has a not too wild day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Trish, PA,

Hope you enjoy your day and time spent with your son and his g/f.

Wanted to take time to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all, I am leaving this evening for Florida to visit with my daughters (Marlene and Angela) and the older two of my four grandchildren (Sammie 12 and Dylan 9), so not sure I will have access to a computer for the next several days. I am very much looking forward to seeing them all, as I have not seen my older daughter and her two children since last December, not exactly looking forward to being at the airport today, but hey, it's a means to an end and I can deal with it to get where I need to be.

Anyway, wanted to wish you all the best of holiday's and tell you that this holiday, make it about family and/or friends and you will not get into too much trouble and just to share about something I experienced last night, my son is glad that I am going to visit his sisters, but made a comment about not having my stuffing or candied yams, so yesterday morning before I went to work, I cooked up the yams and put a little aside for myself, well I had a little last night and OMG! my heart started racing and I felt like I was going to pass out, DUMPING? guess that is it huh? well, nice to know that after 3 years, this redesigned body of mine works, I went to bed at 8:15 and slept until 3:30, no more candied yams for this ol gal, not unless they are made without real brown sugar. . . lol

Have a great one, arrive safely wherever you are traveling to!

Hugs, Laureen

Have a wonderful visit and safe trip, Laureen - when you get back I'll send you a recipe I modified for baked candied yams that I made and love - guaranteed not to dump on them!

Good morning Trish & PA!
Today is just another day of work then getting ready for guesta at Thanksgiving.  I just found out 2 more are coming.  They were not invited, but are welcome just the same.  They had no where to go, so we told them to celebrate with us.  No one should be alone on Thanksgiving.
Have a Wild Wednesday!

Sara

Sara, My family always took in "strays" on holidays.  The more the merriers, and we always had more food than necessary anyway.  Enjoy your holiday and your guests.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning All

I am at work today, leaving early - 3 at the latest. Woke up with a terrible sinus headache so I am hoping that fades quickly. After work I need to go home and get food ready for tomorrow and the stuff I have to bring with me to my Grandfather's for the weekend. I also have to pack bags for me and Mia for the weekend and clean out the car. Somewhere in there I'll make dinner and snuggle with my Mia too :)

Boy do I remember packing for a holiday with my kids when they are Munchkins.  I don't know how I did it.  Enjoy your time away, and have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning all and Happy Thanksgiving! I don't know about everybody else but I'm pretty sure I won't have time to hop on a PC tomorrow. Lots going on!

Last night was a whirlwind of getting ready for our friends coming up from Maryland - they're leaving early to try and beat some of the back-up anticipated on 95 at the Delaware tolls. So last night I made a big pot of chicken orzo soup for dinner, also put together a crockpot full of sauce and italian sausage for dinner tonight - that's going to slow cook all day today. Got my good china out and put it in the dishwasher, vacuumed the floors, cleaned the guest bath, bathed the dog - tried to reorganize the pantry and fridge to make more room.

Taking a 1/2 day today to go home and get more done - making my sf cranberry sauce tonight, and have to bake my yams for my sf candied sweet potatoes tomorrow - thankfully my friends do the South Beach diet so they're all about sugar free, and since my hubby and nephew are diabetic it works for all of us. I am making one 'sugary' dessert for my other nephew and his little boy but otherwise most of the items on my table will be WLS friendly.

To those of you traveling be patient, be safe, and have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.

Kathy

Kathy,
I would love the recipe for the sugar free candied yams.  I love them, but don't eat them for obvious reasons.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Hugs,
Trish
