Tantalizing Tuesday!

Black Friday shopping???  Are you insane???  lol  We tried that about 3 years ago.  Never again!!!  We left the house at 2am to go to Best Buy---and the line was already behind the store when we got there.  We didn't buy a single thing we were trying to get because they ran out.  Sooo not worth it, IMHO.

HATE BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HATE that I live near the mall at this time of year.

HATE that Hanukkah is NEXT WEEK

It's the most wonderful time of the year.........

I have a couple friends at work that have all their sale circulars organized by what they want and what time the stores open.  One friend is planning to be out her door by 1am, she has everything outlined on an excel spreadsheet by store, time, item/items, cost, distance between each store.

Another friend is planning to be up about 4am, he is not as anal as the other one.  He approaches this as if he were coaching a football game (his words).  Strategy is to hit the stores in sequence of furthest from his home then work his way back home via the stores.  He is not quite as organized, he only has a piece of paper with each store written in sequence of how he plans to visit them and has his sale circulars and printout from the internet all in a manila folder which he plans to take with him.

Me - I never, never, never, never, did I mention never shop of Black Friday.  Good Luck you are a brave man!!!!!

Good morning all - day 2 of a short work week - trying not to stress over all the events we have coming up but finding myself doing it anyway. And I'm not normally a stresser over this kind of stuff so I need to sit back, relax, and chill.

Need to make a quick run to Walmart at lunch to pick up a few items we missed at the grocery store Sunday - hard to believe we missed ANYTHING since we had 2 full carts, but we did! Tonight will be busy cooking - making chicken orzo soup for dinner, then cooking ground beef and sweet italian sausage and throwing spag sauce together for dinner tomorrow night since our out-of-towners are coming tomorrow night - need to feed them. Tomorrow night will be prepping some things for the big meal Thursday - it'll all get done somehow, right?

Oh Lisa - I can only imagine! :)

So - here I am at school helping out a young child.  I love my job - I love when I get one to one time with these kids and they REALLY understand the material! (No sarcasm there - I actually mean it!)

Today should be an interesting day.  I am testing my 8th graders - Teacher test - this kind is ok - not like the stupid standardized ones!  After school I am picking up only my two kids that I take to Hebrew School, off to get Emily and then straight to the synagogue.  I am only teaching the afternoon class.  We have the evening off.  Will head home to have dinner with Larry and the kids and then MAYBE a night to bed early?!?!  Yeah right! 

Just booked our flight, car and Hotel for a weekend stay in North Carolina in December.  Oy - the prices are NOT what I expected - not sure what I expected - but for a family of 5 - things certainly can get expensive!

Poor Joshua had such a night last night - some girl broke his heart - I want to hurt her - no I really don't - I just want to take the pain away from my boy.  I feel so sad for him.  The girl that he has been visiting in New Jersey and he had it out and she said that she hates him.  That was the part that got to him.  It makes me feel so bad - and also so glad that I am NOT in high school again.  The drama is just crappy!

I saw Josh's status update on FB.   Sorry he had his heart broken.. first of many, probably.  I guess one plus is the end of the meeting 1/2 way thing that was going on. 

I know - but believe it or not - this is NOT about me - just my poor broken hearted kid.  He was actually crying last night - do NOT tell him I told you that - he would kill me!  It just hurts when there is nothing you can do to make it better.  And I agree - first of many most likely - but still the first - and he will just need time.  Also, these are camp people, so the drama is all over the place!  Texts, facebook messages, emails, whatever - I made him turn his phone and lap top off at 11:00 - it was enough.  He didn't even fight me on it!  I think he was just tire of it all!

I know it's not about you.  But, I know it was a pain for him to do the half way thing, too.

I'm sure things will get easier for him.  It's hard to go through a break up at any age, but especially the first big one.
