1 year post reflections and dr's visit
Tomorrow is my 1 year post op visit with Dr. Brader. I am a few days before my actual 1 year, but I am leaving for vacation after work Friday for 2 weeks so we went early instead of late.
I am happy to say it looks like I am going to meet his goal for the visit. I was not sure I would, but it looks like it, so I am pleased. I know my goal is what matters, but I have a thing about disappointing authority figures, lol.
I will be interested to see how the appointment goes and what he recommends for going forward, etc. My labs are a bit off as well so I will need to focus on that.
I will update everyone tomorrow, but for now, a few random thoughts:
My highest weight was 326.
On 11/24/09 I weighed 296 when I was wheeled back for surgery.
Today, 11/17/10, I weigh 168 and have reached 26.8% body fat according to my trainer.
I now run, voluntarily, 3 miles a night 3-4 days a week.
I started at a tight size 26 and my 14 pants are now loose. I wear a medium to a large top, depending on cut.
I have energy to spare and am often told I am hyper as I can't sit still.
I weigh less than my husband for the first time in the 16 years we have known each other. (THIS WAS A HUGE WOW FOR ME)
I am happy.
I secured my dream job, within my same company, and am loving life.
What a year!

Since I first met you I felt like you were the best person to know. You are smart, funny and a joy to be around. You are an inspiration to me and I look to you for your insight. I love reading your posts and see how you are doing.
I loved the time we got to spend at Pennsic and hope we find more events to meet up at.
Keep up the amazing work. You are doing the most wonderful things for yourself.
Love,
Sandra (aka Saby)
