Good morning all,

I think this is only the second time I have ever posted roll call.  Can't believe I am still awake.  Am heading to bed as soon as I finish this post though!!

The barix saturday support meeting was great - always like seeing everyone and the support is amazing.

Today I will be hanging with a few of the crew at Chickies & Petes and will meet Jodi (jojobear) and her Johnny.   Am looking forward to a nice afternoon.

Then home to do a little bit of cooking for the week and hanging by a fire out back (if mark has his way).

That's about it - not too exciting!

Have a great Sunday PA

Wow, I forgot about the clock.  I sleep until my body tells me and I am usually up at this hour anyway.  Today we are helping a friend get his stuff out of our basement.  Since we will move soon, it seems like getting rid of stuff is something we have to do too.  Anyway, that is the plan.

Good Morning Maura and PA,
Sorry I missed Barix yesterday.  I fell asleep after walking Utley and did not wake up till 1:00.  I needed it desperately.  My lungs have not been the same since the hospital.

Today is iffy.  I wanted to make an early meeting this morning, but my bed and Utley are too warm to get out of.  Church is at 9:15, and I want to make an AA meeting too.  I am on a roll in my meeting attendance, and don't want to screw it up.

I know I am going to have to get up and walk Utley soon, but till then, I will let him sleep.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning all!

Up early, drinking coffee, enjoying the peace and quiet before my boys wake up.  Nothing on the agenda today, other than run some errands to pick up some sale items.  Sometime later today, we'll head to Paul's house since his son has school tomorrow.  Anson is with us all week since his mom is away.  I'm not sure if I'll stay all week; it will depend on if I get an interviews scheduled.  (One company I phone interviewed with wants to do a face to face, but they're really dragging their feet.  I'm getting scared that unemployment is going to drop dead soon.)

I made a crockpot of pumpkin turkey chili yesterday and was really pleased with how it turned out.  I combined someone's original recipe with a reviewer's additions to it, so I need to take a few minutes today to combine them in a Word doc so I can make it again.

Hey Maura---Is Chickie's and Pete's a bar?  Can't walk in with a 16 year old if it is!  Otherwise, maybe I can persuade the boys to go for a ride to meet up with you guys.

Have a great day, all!!  Peace and strength to all dealing with life's business!!

Chickie's and Pete's is a restaurant.  Kids are fine.  It is mostly adults - and we will be near the sports complex, so I cant promise there wont be some imbibing, but it is ALWAYS a good time!  Hope you guys come to visit with us! :)

PS - feel free to text me this morning - 267-577-2090.  Can't talk because of teaching, but I can text if you need me.

Thanks for the info, Steffi!!!  Not sure we'll get there, but I didn't want to entertain the thought if we couldn't bring the kid with us.

Wow, it's been a while for me! I've lurked just a tiny bit this past week - was out in Pitsburgh with a team this week, so had ZERO time to myself for my usual internet stops!

Anyway....

Today is an exciting day. I am driving down to VA (just outside DC) and taking the Amtrak car train to FL, where I will open up our house there for the first time! Mike calls it "feathering the nest" which will be so much fun! Don't tell him, but I'm going to decorate a small Christmas tree so it will be ready when we both come down at Christmas! I am also going to check out some jazzercise an zumba classes during my time there.

So sorry to miss Barix yesterday! I attended a "Christmas workshop" craft day at my church, and actually....successfully!...made a project! It's called a "placemat purse" and will be an adorable tote bag for a granddaughter. Hmmm....can I make about 9 more of these before Christmas????

Foodwise, the past month has presented challenges that didn't pop up in the last year. First was the wedding we attended in October. Then came last weekend's work meetings - I had protein shakes in my hotel room, but wow, the menu for breakfast included ZERO protein, there were no snacks, and by lunch I was famished. I probably overate at dinner, when there was actually a piece of meat placed in front of me! And this past week, once again protein was in short supply. Bagels for breakfast....pasta and breadsticks for lunch. Thankfully I was prepared with protein bars, water, and RTD shakes....but it's tough to live on those for the week!  It was also filled with "goodies" that were tempting in good part because my normal eating schedule and patterns were so disrupted.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Good Morning PA,

Today I am haning out around the house and getting things done that I have neglected for the past few weeks.  I finally went back to work two weeks ago and that has been completely exhausting but still much better than sitting around on my butt.  I am still using my crutches in school because my physical therapist doesn't want me to put too much stress on my hip.  At home I can walk without the crutches.  It takes me forever to go up and down the stairs but I am still better than I was 6 weeks ago.  Hope you all have fun at Chickie and Petes and meeting Jodi.  Have a great Sunday!  Go Ravens!!!

Good morning all. Brisk walk with the dog this morning then out for my iced coffee. Just had breakfast and am enjoying the peace and quiet.

A bit upset with my nephew this morning - he broke up with his girlfriend and while things like that happen I know the only reason he did is because he's so freaking selfish so I think it's time for a heart to heart talk with him today. That won't be easy because he can shut you out but I really want him to think about what he could be throwing away.

Yesterday was awesome - my friend and I spent all day in Lancaster with girded of other people! I couldn't even find unpacking spot at Tangers outlet so never got into Skechers but we did enough damage in other stores!
