*** Haunted Halloween Roll Call ***
I am heading off to sleepy land where I will be woken up, as Pam says, "at the ass crack of dawn." (Although I don't think 7AM is the ass crack to her, but whatever) It will still be too early for a person who is going to bed so late. Headed to the synagogue for Hebrew School and then home for a quick nap and lunch - maybe NOT in that order. Emily has a soccer game at 3 then home for a quick dinner and costume change. I think Molly will be walking about with her friends and I will be taking Emily around the neighborhood. I guess I will give the candy to my neighbor to hand out while I am out and about with the little witch.......(Up to you to decide if I mean that wholeheartedly or as a costume reference! :)) After trick-or-treating, home to relax, maybe grade a few papers and then off to bed.
I hope you Halloween is as Haunted as you want it!
Teaching my class at church this morning, then lunch and nap time...then have to work a few hours in preparation for a s hool visit next week. I will be In the Pittsburgh area Tues- Fri.
Trick or treat out here in Lancaster County was Friday. They don't ever have it on Sunday.
Mike has been playing with iTunes and got a little gadget that broadcasts it directly to the Bose radio, so that's kinda cool!
From the party, I met a few friends at a local club where I hung out with them until the place closed. They were all dressed as gangsters. Nobody gave me the memo.. LOL. Had fun with their drunk butts for a little bit and then came home.
My child seems to have multiplied while I was gone. There is another child sleeping in her room. Yes, I knew she was going to be here.. had to call the mom during the party to let her know it was ok. Hope they don't wake me too early because it's um, 3 AM and I'm just getting ready to go to bed.
We have no plans for the day except to go into Bethlehem to watch the Halloween parade. I love watching that one because my old schools are in it and I get to see a lot of old friends when I wander around the parade route. We are going to sit with a couple of former school mates of mine---their kids are all in the parade. One of the girls and I go all the way back to kindergarten and the other from middle school!
After the parade, we will just come home and relax. I have Monday off work b/c I was supposed to be going out tomorrow night. Plans got cancelled and that's fine b/c then I don't have to shell out more money for a sitter. BUT, I'm going to enjoy having Monday off. I'm getting a visit from a friend for the day so that will be fun.
Ok, all.. off to bed. I'll post pictures from the night after I wake up.
I am off to bed now. Goodnight to me, Good morning to all of you.
Love ya PA,
a very tired Maura
You guys and gals were a laugh riot! Thanks so much for the entertainment for however brief it was. It was MUCH appreciated! Sooooo wish I could've been there. But alas, someone must be around to save the public from their own stupidity, lol
I am currently hosting a slumber party in my waiting room. Literally. I have one sleeping on the floor and one sleeping across chairs. And at 0352 in the morning...I could care less lol. If it wasn't totally against all ethics, this would be making youtube in a heart beat!
Once I leave from graciously serving the public I'm off to the gym. Haven't decided which one. I've recently started going to the la fitness in Atown and really like it. Either way will be day 3 of week one of c25k
Off to the store for a few last min items then home where I'm getting things set up for dinner later on.
Headed most likely to Dorney in the afternoon for a few hours. Forks twp trick or treat is tonight from 6-8 so we will be doing the handing out of goodies then.
Not sure if the nap thing is happening today or not, if not, it'll be an early bedtime for me most definitely!
Can't wait to see pics!

Sounds like a good time was had by all at Maura's last night. I had a quiet evening at an AA meeting, and then home to walk Utley.
Today has me up early for some reason. I fell asleep to Saturday Night Live. Now, I am snuggling in my bed with Utley keeping me warm.
My plans include making another AA meeting, then church, and then to the store to buy sugary junk to hand out to the Munchkins who come calling tonight. I won't be handing out the junk for long, because I live on the second floor and will be parked downstairs for about an hour for the little ones.
Hope you have a good day.

I was checking out Lisa and Steffi's pics on fb. Everyone looks wonderful. Looks like y'all had a great time! Today not to much planned. Making chicken N dumplings now for dinner later. I'll be omitting the dumplings in my bowl! Cherish is coming over to help hand out the goodies to all the trick or treaters. We get A LOT of kids where I live. I live on a block of row homes that has 50 houses on each side. I didn't buy as much candy this year. We sit outside on our stoop so we're not opening and closing the door all night.
Yesterday was a very difficult day for my family. We put our 9 year old boxer, Brutus down. He had a form of MS that dogs can get. His back legs were just uncontrollable. Watching him try to walk, go to the bathroom and go down the stairs just got to the point that I couldn't take it anymore. His quality of life just wasn't what it used to be. He rarely waged his tail, except when I came home from work.
From the very beginning, when we brought him home, he was my walking buddy, my protector. I would walk the neighborhood at 5am. He was my deterent for anyone wanting to cross the street to walk on my side. He was a big boxer. He weighted 85 lbs. It just amazes me how much our animals in our lives become so much a part of our family and when it's time to say goodbye to them, how much it hurts. He was our second dog we've had to put down in the last year and half. Our other dog, Abbey, was a lab/shepard mix. She was 14 when we finally said goodbye to her Memorial Day weekend 2009.
Sorry to share my sadness.
Hope everyone has a Happy Halloween.
