Sorry this is happening to you Deb..  BUT, at least they figured out what is going on.  Hopefully they can stretch it out so you can start eating regular food.  Hang in there

I had 2 strictures and the procedure is rather easy and no pain at all afterwards.  They tell you not to drive or do anything the rest of the day...but I felt fine but if you can take advantage of it and rest for the day.  I havent had a stricture for 5 months now and I feel wonderful now.  The first 7 months of wls was a hell of a ride with not keeping anything down and getting food caught.  Good luck :)

Thanks, Pam!  Wow, 7 months of this I can't imagine.  It has only been 11 weeks since my surgery, I am so glad they found this early.  I called the surgeon last week to complain, I knew something was wrong.

Also glad to hear that you felt fine afterword.  I own a small store, and I don't have any employees, so I am hoping I can open on Friday after the procedure.

THANKS!
Deb

Glad they found out what was wrong, Deb - and that you knew to get to your surgeon because something wasn't right. I think that's hard for us since we don't know what 'normal' feels like anymore - praying for a smooth procedure and only one!!

Take care...Kathy

Yea...I was afraid of that...I remember you talking about your issues.

The anesthesia...it really doesn't matter how long you're "under" for...You are going to feel the effects.  You should probably try to plan on resting if possible, and not being at the store if that is feasible.

Good luck!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Yes, Pam, I think you are right.

I have someone who can cover for me from 2-6, I may just have to open late that day.

THANKS to everyone for your support and good wishes!
