Tired Tuesday Roll Call

Vent away - that's what we're here for! Its taken me a long time to get over comments from my husband like that but I feel this way - if he doesn't like how I'm doing it he can damn well do it himself now. My mother lived with us for 18 years and was an excellent cook, and did 99% of the cooking - now that I've had to take over I'm still learning and getting used to getting an evening meal on the table every day, plus I work full-time and do ALL of the driving (he and I work about 5 minutes from each other so I drop him off and pick him up). And while he never really makes negative remarks about what I cook he still refers to my mother as 'the cook' in the family - MEN.

As for the cleaning, the next time he said something like 'the floor needs dusting' tell him where the mop or broom is! I get annoyed because I'm supposed to THANK my husband when he empties the dishwasher, or puts the dinner dishes in the sink, or takes the clean clothes on hangers from the laundry room to the bedroom. yet I don't get THANKED for actually cooking, loading the dishwasher, cleaning, doing all the laundry and putting it away, grocery shopping, making the bed, feeding the dog, etc...because he works full-time? yeah, me too!

Maybe we need a thread on here called 'The Daily Man-Rant'!!  LOL!!

I had to text him, cuz I was sooooo frustrated and my better judgement went right out the window. His response was "sorry I'm an ass - thanks hon".

Defused me a little, but, we'll see what he thinks when he sees I did NOTHING constructive today. I'm being childish, I know it. I think my shortage of meds caught up to me today.

Hi all!!!

Got my exercise done for today, as well as a couple of loads of laundry.  We need to go out in a little while to get ink for the printer, and I need to look for shoes.  I got 2 really nice suits yesterday for interviews, but my shoes are too big and need to be replaced.  (Got the suits for $1.50 each at the Goodwill clearance place.  Two big 'trash bags' full of clothes for $33!!)

I haven't heard anything yet about the phone interview I had last week.  I know these things never happen quickly, but it's hard to be patient.  I have a feeling they're not going to ask me for a face-to-face interview.

It's on Rt 23 in Morgantown.  It's in the back part of the building where the regular Goodwill is.  I'm not sure if they're open on Sundays.  If you go, you have to be patient and be ready to dig---everything is just thrown into bins (deep tables, really), and it's all mixed in.  There's a lot of junky stuff, but I've found some amazing things there, like a Gloria Vanderbilt skort.  All clothing is 75 cents and outwear is $2.  My fun purchase yesterday?  A black dress with beading around the neckline.  Looks brand new!  It's a little small yet, but I figured it would be a fun goal to be able to zip it up!  (Then I have to find a place to wear it!  lol)

I know exactly where that is! I’ve been in there once a few summers ago and got a few good deals. Will have to go check it out again.
