Manic Monday Roll Call

I would MUCH prefer to be in school. I usually do Jury Duty in the summer however, I was scheduled for the week after my surgery in August so I postponed it.  good thing too as I was running a fever and felt like crap the day I was supposed to go.  I REALLY REALLY REALLY hate to miss days with my students.  I have a GREAT substitute and I am sure the kids will be fine - and I told them, so hopefully they will be OK - but still - my control issues are still what they are!  Also, I will need a day off later this month, so I REALLY hate to be out.  Darned work ethic - what was wrong with my parents when they taught me this stuff?!?! :)

PS - Poor Larry is pretty sick and still dragging his ass to work - see what I am dealing with here?  My poor children...they too will most likely have good work ethic.....(eye roll)

Morning all.. sorry about your weekend, Trish.  My Saturday night and Sunday did not go as planned, either.   We had the sprained ankle and accident Saturday night, which led to not traveling to friends on Sunday.

I was able to get a rental car.. really nice one, by the way.. Adjuster should be calling me today to let me know about repairing the damage to my car.

So, today I do not have to go to jury duty as was a possibility.  I am actually quite disappointed about this.  I have always wanted to serve on a jury, but have not yet had the chance.

I am working today til about 3:30.  I am going to try to get into the dr. because my back is a bit stiff and I want to be sure I have it documented in case it is necessary for the insurance company.  Tonight, I am going to get to the gym.  I think I will go to Pilates to try to stretch out my back.  Depending on how I feel will determine if I will stay for Body Pump.

Siehara took the melatonin for the first time last night and said she noticed a difference in how she felt.  She said she slept well and was definitely tired by the time 8:30 came around.  She also didn't argue the change in bedtime from 9 to 8:30.  Looks like this will be a good thing.

Sorry to hear about your accident! As long as you and Siehara are ok that is all that matters. The car can be fixed. Did this happen on the way home from Liz's? I know traffic was ridiculous driving home for us!

Today is wor****il 3:45pm then off to see my therapist. This is a very good thing because there is ALOT to talk to her about!! Tonight I must get to bed early. I need a weekend from my weekend!! Even though Dee was over at her friends house most of the day yesterday, I was running around doing errands, baking, cooking and doing laundry. Last night I was exhausted!!
Still feeling it this morning.

The accident happened after the Bat Mitzvah and after the visit to the ER from the Bat Mitzvah.

Siehara was dancing at the party and turned her ankle and fell.  We went to the ER and she sprained it.  On the way home from the ER, we got hit.  There are lots of details on my FB and on yesterday's roll call.  Not a fun end to our Saturday night.

Today is the second day of my weekend, spending it waiting for the dishwasher repairman, seems my dishwasher is on a recall.  At least it won't cost me anything.

I have been very good about hitting the gym and all the weight machines every other day.  Later today is a Zumba Gold class.  But I have to call the surgeon's office today, I am just not able to eat much of anything.  Yesterday I got about a tablespoon of scrambled eggs down, in tiny little bits, and they got stuck.  Couldn't even drink water for over 3 hours!  We went to an anniversary party yesterday and I ate some sauce from the chicken, that's all.  I am getting at least one protein drink a day in and taking my vitamins in my water (Celebrate ENS), but I need to eat something!  I am wondering if I have a stricture.

I'm coming back and will try to post daily to this thread to help me get/stay on track.  Now 4 + months sober, I need to get this food demon out of my life again.  I have a plan, but know support will be key.  I'm trying to remember how I lost all that weight the 8 months after surgery.  How easy it is to forget.

CONGRATS to you Jill for being sober all these months. we r having our post-op suppor group on Wednesday, why dont u come?

Hi Jill,
Welcome back.  Congrats on four months sober.  I got nine months on Friday.  If you ever want to go to an AA meeting let me know.  There is one in Croydon on Friday night...women's meeting.  Also one on Saturday morning.  Both are at St. Thomas.
