Super Sunday Roll Call

Good Morning PA,
I am totally bummed about the Phillies game, but that is not why I am up late enough to post roll call.  I had an intense therapy session Saturday afternoon, and am still reeling from it.  Basically, I got my a** kicked up one side and down the other.  I deserved it, and hated hearing the truth.

Sunday has me heading to church, and dropping off some clothes.  My church is collecting clothes for the homeless, as we participate in a homeless minitry, bringing them in on extremely cold nights.

Then, I have to get some more organizing done in my bedroom, during the Eagles game, so I can sit and crochet over at my sister's during the Phillies game.

Somewhere in there, I have to call my sponsor, and talk to her, and also haul hiney to a meeting.

Have a good day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Trish & PA,
We must have started the roll call togather. Anyway I will post here what I originally posted. I will try to get some sleep tonight despite the itch that has me covered in welts as I have been scratching myself raw. I think it's one of my meds that is making me itch so bad. Can't take benedryl as all it does it knock me out. My parents are coming to visit and have lunch with me tomorrow. I will try to eat something despite the thought of food making me ill to my stomach. Besides mom and dad will not let me off the hook without at least eating half of my lunch. Just an FYI I have reached my weight loss goal as a result of being sick. Not the healthiest way of losing the weight but I am done. I don't want to lose any more weight. I am trying to take it easy and rest so that I can get back to work and regular routine.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Shilpa,
Talk to your doctor and see if he/she can prescribe something to help with the itching.  I have been prescribed a Medrol Dosepak for allergic reactions.

Congrats on your making goal.  That is awesome.  Sorry it had to be because of being so sick.  I also hope you can eat something so you get your strength and health back.  One suggestion might be to go back to just eating soft foods, like pudding and cottage cheese, so you can get protein.  One thing I learned in a nutrition class at Bucks is that protein is used for building and repairing cells.  Making sure you get your protein in some way, will help you get better.

Hugs and love,
Trish

Morning Trish and Shilpa.  Hopefully you are both sleeping.

I'm not... just got home from quite a busy day, followed by an adventurous night.

The 5K was fabulous!!  I just checked my time and my tag time was 47:04, with a pace of
15:11 per mile.  Not to shabby for my first time and with the wind working against us.  I placed 1,334 out of 1,416 people in the 5K run.   By the way, there were over 3,000 people running or walking.  It was AWESOME!!!

Spent the afternoon at Liz's.. fabulous time!

Went to the Bat Mitzvah.. started out great.  Siehara was having a great time hanging out and dancing with the other kids.  She was doing some sort of dance and she twisted her ankle and fell.  I had her sit down and one of the other parents came over to me to tell me that her ankle was starting to swell, so David had already gone to get ice.  We kept it elevated and iced and kept an eye on it.  The swelling got a bit worse, but we kept the ice on and gave her Tylenol.  She was not able to put any pressure on it at all, so we decided better safe than sorry and went to the ER.  Miracle of miracles, there was only one person ahead of us and from entering to xray to dr check to car was only about an hour.  I was very happily surprised and the nurses and dr were great.

So we're on our way home and not even a mile awayfrom home a car comes from the FAR LEFT lane when we are in the right and hits the front driver side of my car.  There is front end damage and we were shaken up.  Thankfully, we had our seatbelts on and nobody got hurt.  The guy pulled over.. I called the police (with some guy's phone cause I forgot mine at home) and it was all taken care of.  Now I am sitting up just trying to relax before laying down.  My car is at home with me and I will call the insurance in the morning.. sigh...... what a night......

ANYWAY.. sorry about the diversion..

Sunday's plans have now been changed from hanging at Sandra's jewelry party and going to visit a friend, to calling the insurance, doing some grocery shopping and maybe trying to hit the gym.  Otherwise, it will just be about relaxing and figuring out how and when I will get my car fixed.

Good morning everyone!

Lisa, I am sorry to hear about the accident! But so glad that it wasn't more serious and that you guys are okay. As for the ER visit - well you must have set some kind of record time wise!!

Trish, interesting to hear about the therapy session. A little tough love? Well it can't hurt in certain situations.

Shilpa, good luck with the family visit today. Call your doc for some help with the allergic reaction - yes, it does sound like a medication allergy. I've been through that before and it is NO fun!

As for me, I am off to church in a few....then home to tweak the house up a bit and just generally putter around on a few jobs I need to get done before the week begins. It will be a home-based day for me, though. I love the bright, cool weather and feel energized from it!

Hi everyone!

Today is pastor appreciation day so it is church and a pot luck after.  I have an interview at McDonalds tomorrow.  I'm not to keen on it but desperate times cause for desperate measures.  We still don't have this months rent and utilities and our landlord is frantic.  Well, so are we.

My support group is growing by leaps and bounds and that makes me happy.  I just hope I can keep it up and not have to move too far away. Since I'm not the major bread winner, we go where hubby works which may be Olean.  We shall see.

Have a great day all!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Good morning everyone!  Lisa - I will text you later to chat - LOTS of things to catch up on!

Trish - glad you are feeling what you need to from your therapy session!  While the truth DOES hurt, it also helps us mve forward into what we need to do to better ourselves!

Had a great day at the Bat Mitzvah yesterday.  Felt great in what I was wearing and was loving standing beside a yummy man.....(He is still a pain in the ass - but he dresses up REAL nice!)  The party last night was a lot of fun with much dancing laughing and happiness.

Today I am off to Hebrew school then home for a few and back to the frozen tundra of the soccer field for Emily's game.  Sadly one of Larry's parent best friends died and the funeral is today and I will not be able to go as I have no one to take Emily to her soccer game, so I will be thinking about the family while I am a frozen popsicle.  Tonight - the Phils WILL even out the series!  I have no doubt!

Have a Super Sunday all! :)

Good morning all - hugs and prayers to all my friends struggling out there. Hopefully today will be a better day for all.

I'm slowly getting my day going. Took a lovely walk with the dog this morning - came home and fed him, cooked some bacon for everyone's breakfast (they can make their own eggs!) and got a huge crockpot of chili going for game day - I think some of the guys are coming over to watch the games.

Yesterday was fun for me' - got my nails done and then shopped for a while. Mostly things we needed but it was still good getting out.

Today is cleaning day as soon as everybody else is up and moving. Sipping coffee now and checking stuff on line.

Hope you all have a great day.
