Shape Shifting without loss

About a month ago, I reached my goal weight which makes me very very happy.  I never thought I would see the day.

So, I felt that it was safe to go clothes shopping.  I went out and bought 5 pairs of slacks for work - Nice ones from Talbots and I spent the $ to have them tailored  - was feeling really good wearing them.  And now, 30 days later, I have only lost 1 lb since that time but now they are a full size too big?!?!?

Ok, great, I'm getting smaller - not complaining - I really don't want to lose any more weight (unless it is belly skin) but when will I stop shape shifting?  I know they say 18 months before considering plastics - is that because the body continues to shift for that long?

Well kudos to you for shape shifting!!!

I don't know how long it takes to stop, but I've been shape shifting, too.  BUT, I have not lost a single pound in almost a year.

I am about 20 months out now and I am still shape shifting.  I attribute mine to the Pilates and Yoga.   My size has not changed though.  I've been the same size 10-12 depending on what it is.

I just wish I could get my head into the food game as much as it is in the gym game.

I am almost 4 years out and I still go through spells where my body changes. Not sure if that is just a fact of getting older, or further out or what. Of course I've noticed a lot in the last 4 months but I did just have a baby. lol

Maura,

I also have not lost any weight in the last five months, but somehow I am fitting into a 14/16 pant?? People keep on telling me that I am looking great, but I don't feel that!! I have been very down about the lack of weight loss. I am trying to stay positive and think that I haven't GAINED any weight either!! I guess my body is readjusting to my new lifestyle....I did have a moment last week when I looked in the full length mirror and said "Who the hell is that?" when I looked at my profile I had no idea who that was looking back at me!!

It is frustrating that you spent money on pants that you can't wear!! I have been buying little bits of clothes here and there. Luckily the dress code at work is casual.

I guess we will just have to deal with the shape shifting for awhile and we are not even on Star Trek!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Love, Beth

So funny you would post this today! I just noticed last night, as I purged my closet and dresser AGAIN that my weight has only shifted 1 pound in about 6 weeks, but, all my clothes that were size large were WAY too big. They fit fine a couple weeks ago. I sort of noticed in my shoulders that I looked thinner/narrower. But, putting the clothes on totally confirmed what I thought.

I just took my measurements last weekend but have yet to compare them to my last set of measurements.

I'm still less than a year out, so, I've got a little ways to go. But, if I'm shape shifting 4 years from now, I hope the weight shifts north to my boobs!

My weight has been at a standstill since July (well, within 3 lbs.) But I do wear smaller clothes today.

My exercise routine was put on hold this summer with the knee surgery, or I might have either lost more or shifted more, not sure. But I bought an armload of clothes on clearance at the end of the summer season, and did think just a "tad" smaller than I am now. If I could lose the last 5 or 10 lbs., it would be great but either way I'll be okay!

So, I'll plan to continue to change for some time now!

I agree that a shift of some weight in to the boobal region would be quite nice AND a shift in to my ass (am I really going to say that I would like a bigger ass?!?  ha ha.. that cracks me up) - seriously mine is starting to resemble that of a pacaderm!

Lisa / Beth - there has been such a change in both of you over the past few months that I am in shock that the scales haven't moved!  I guess we all have the same thing going on!
