Congratulations on your 4 year mile marker.  Some of us do need to stay below 1,000 calories to maintain (I'm one of them).  Its just an adjustment in budgeting calories and carbs.  I guess its a matter of acceptance.  Hopefully you will feel comfortable enough with the daily routine by year 5 to move some of those I don't knows up to the I know's.  We need to keep each other accountable, that helps quite a bit. I'm glad I met you, and yes Jason is a gift.  Keep up the fight, your worth it.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

Wow, Nicole, what a great insightful post.  Congrats on your surgiversary, reading your comments is a little scary for someone only 2 months out.  But I need to be aware of what is to come.

I am also so glad to have you in my life.  Wish you lived closer!!

Nicole... I can't say anything that is insightful.  I can't say anything that hasn't already been said.  I can say that I think you are a wonderful person.  Wonderful isn't even the best word... it doesn't even begin to describe you...  I thank you for being who you are and for being a part of my life.  Congratulations my beautiful friend.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Nicole,

Congratulations on your surgiversary!  Since I've been on the posts, I always look forward to the insightful things you have to offer.  Your words of wisdom mean a lot for newbies like myself. Although I am only a few months out, I already know that this journey will be a daily struggle but coming her to the boards will always be my therapy and you are one of the people I look most forward to hearing from.

Here is to many more surgiversaries to celebrate.

A few responses to points you posted - my impressions

How to help others on their journey when I struggle everyday.  You do this in a way that seems effortless.  You are always there for all of us with meaningful, insightful, caring words to help give perspective ALL the time.  At times, it is just that you share your struggles and are strong enough to face them that provides that help.

I have to participate in life and the rest of the world it is sometimes hard. I am used to not being considered, left in the back ground, ridiculed or being invisible. Now people are paying attention, including me, and is scares me.  - You are in the company of comrades that are / do feel the same way, at least I know I do.   In your presence, I see quite the opposite.  I enjoy your company and I know Heather joked about "the circle", but seriously, being on the inside of that circle is an honor!  I wish you lived closer.

Congrats on your surgiversary - continue to celebrate them!

xoxo,

Maura

Congratulations on 4 years!  Your words ring so true to so many of us.  I always love hearing what you have to say because you tell it like it is.  You may have doubts about your help to others but believe me when I say you are so insightful and so inspiring.  It is easy for me to relate to you and your honesty about the struggles that continue daily.

Thanks for being you!

Hugs,  Arlene

Thanks for all the kind words. You know me I will always tell you honestly what I am thinking the good bad and ugly. I am hoping for more good again. They really do call it a honeymoon stage for more reasons then one. Gotta learn how to live after the honeymoon is over and real life begins.

One of the best things ever that I have gotten and lingers still is all of you. I love each one of you dearly. you are my family and I appreciate you so much. Thanks for the encouragement.

Nicole,

Congratulations on your 4 years.  You are so inspiring to so many of us that are still infants and entering toddlerhood in our journey.  Your posts are insightful, thoughtful, affirming, compassionate.  Keep up the great work - you are one amazing and beautiful woman!!!!
