Hello PA forum!!

Ok, it is 7:38 am on a Sunday and where is everyone? I guess still sleeping...wish I was!
Went to bed last night at 9pm and woke up a little after 6am. I am now dressed, drinking coffee and on OH!!
Yesterday was support group at Barix. It was a small group but saw some people who I haven't seen in awhile. Met with some OH'ers that I haven't met in person! So nice to meet you all!!

Today I am taking Dee to Hebrew School, then food shopping, then picking up her friend and heading back to the synogogue for Sundae Fun Day. Should be fun for the kids! Maybe the adults could have some fun TOO!! After that, coming home to do some laundry and get ready for another fun filled week!!

On Tuesday, Steven is going for a colonoscopy because he has been having some issues. I am taking him back and forth since he will be under anesthesia. Please pray that it is nothing serious. He has a HORRIBLE family history!! As soon as I find out what is going on, I will let you know.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!

Love, Beth

Good Morning!

Beth--Good morning! It was nice to meet you yesterday at the Barix meeting! Keeping your family in my thoughts!

I was happy to be able  to attend the Barix meeting and am hoping now that my schedule will allow me to attend more often. I certainly need the support and loved getting to see everyone!

As for me...just got up and am enjoying some coffee before getting ready to head up to my brother and sis-in-law 's house for a brunch with some old friends I haven't seen in a couple of years. So looking forward to that!

Then it will be home to finish up lesson plans and mark some tests and do laundry and straighten up my place. So much fun! LOL

Hope everyone has a super Sunday!

Much luv!
Laura

HI everyone!

I enjoyed the Barix group yesterday too. Important topics always!

Today we get to have a little bit of a late start. Home this morning, then a church conference this afternoon.

I am making black bean soup for later on...folding laundry...and just re-energizing for Monday.

Enjoy!

Good Morning Beth,
I feel so bad that I missed Barix yesterday.  One of these days I will plan better.  Just spent too much time at the dog walk event.  My dog was having too much fun.  I did not walk, just socialized with the people from Petsmart and my sister and her dog.  We had our portrait taken with all four of us...Sis and her dog, Utley and me.

I had planned to go with Sis to a Special Olympics tournament for my nephew at East Stroudsburg University, but I did not sleep well with the pain in my hip, and feared being outside in the cool damp air would just exacerbate the situation.  So, I walked Utley, and loosened up a bit, and put my heating pad on my chair and will be knitting and loosening up. Later, I will head to the gym for a swim and a sit in the hot tub.  Then, to an AA meeting before the Eagles game.  I have not been able to sit through an entire game so far this season...distractions and life responsibilities have interfered.  Also, more knitting.

I hope everyone has a good day.  It is beautiful, though chilly, outside today.

Hugs and love,
Trish

GM, all!

Beth---Will definitely keep you guys in our prayers this week!!!  Hope all is well!!

As always, I woke up before anyone else.  Put the coffee on, fed the cats, and was getting ready to go for a walk when Paul got up.  We put coffee in travel mugs and went for a walk, which felt good.

I found a cookbook in a drawer this morning.  The cover is missing, but I could tell it was old.  I guessed right---it belonged to Paul's mom, who passed away in 1978.  I'll go through it later today, but I already found 1 recipe that she submitted for the book, plus a card she wrote a recipe on tucked in the pages.  Kind of a sweet find.

Have a great day, my friends!!!  Wishing peace and strength to all!!

Hello there Beth and PA.. still sleeping.. yes..

Hope everything is ok with Steve..

lounged around this morning.  Now, I am up getting ready for Siehara's birthday party.  I think that I am glad I made the decision to spend the extra money and go to the bowling alley.  All I have to provide is the cake, the kids and the money.  I don't have to set up or clean up or keep the noise level down to a low roar.  Yes, worth the extra money.  Now, to get the girl to understand that I can't afford to buy her a present on top of the party and the Halloween costume.  Are they ever happy?  I'm hoping to get her a really nice present for Hanukkah this year.  She really wants a camera to take to camp, so I would like to get one for her this year.  Plus, I'm hoping to have my divorce stuff settled before then, and would like to get myself a new laptop.  That would mean I will give her the netbook.

After the party, I may take Siehara over to a different bowling alley for a youth group event if she wants to go.  Otherwise, we will come home so she can look at her presents and I can relax.

Oh, by the way.. told Bron that I had heard he was sleeping with other women (yes, I know he's not the only one I'm with)  I wanted to see what his reaction was to this. If he had been honest with me, then I probably would have let it go.  But, he denied it.. and I heard it from 2 different people at 2 different times.   I know I was just looking for a reason that he really couldn't argue, and this came at the right time.  So, Bron and I are no more.  I am not upset by this at all.

Good morning Beth & PA,

I am in the hotel room in Seattle getting ready to tackle the attempt to pack and leave for the airport.  Why is it that things NEVER fit back in the same way?  will arrive home tonight after 11 - so it will be well after midnight by the time we get home.   Am so glad that we took Monday off too - will need to adjust back to east coast time.

Beth  - am hoping all is well with Steven - keep me posted on the outcome - am believing all will be fine!
Lisa - am sorry to hear that things are done with Bron, but am glad that you are at peace with it.

Had a GREAT vacation - It was so good to see my cousins out here - had some great food on this trip, it was really tough to stay in check, but I did do it most of the time.  I found a bakery that had AWESOME NSA Oatmeal raisin cookies, so got two of them to nibble on here and there (they were large) as my "reward".

The most amazing part of the trip was climbing Mt. Ranier - we took the trails up to about 7000 feet and while the air was much thinner and the old me would have quit 10 min after leaving the lodge, we did over 5 hours of hiking - I'll post the pics on FB - absolutely amazing!!!  we were standing on snow in t-shirts.. strange.

Well - I need to pack now :(

xoxo,

Maura

Good Afternoon Beth & PA:

Been up for quite awhile today, homework, reading, have veggies roasting in the oven, made all Gene's protein shakes for the week and put into the freezer, now just getting onto the computer to finish up some written assignments on blackboard and try to light a fire under my groups arse, we have an assignment due on the 8th and so far have not heard a peep from the other 3 in my group.  I hate group work when it comes to classes and I have a grade dependent on others!!!!!!

Gene and I made it to Barix yesterday - YEAH!!!!!  Arrived late as usual, was so great to see everyone!!!!  Met Beth and LauraAnn, so nice to have a face with our online conversations now!

Today as you can see is homework, reading, and writing.  Gene is getting my new computer up and running for class Tuesday night.  This old laptop will not connect to the network at school, so I had to invest in a new laptop.  I can't wait to start using it!!!

I also have to get in touch with my younger daughter to see what she wants to so special for her upcoming birthday in 12 days.  Every year I do something extra special that the girls want to do for their birthdays.   Some years it is just them and me, this year my oldest wanted to include Gene and her hubby in our zoo trip.  Hope my youngest has something fun in mind for us this year as well!

Hope everyone has an awesome day....
