Surgery Update
Hi Friends!
I got home about 3. The drugs are kicking my butt! The doctor was not able to repair the tear so he resectioned it (cleaned it up.) I am on crutches and will be for several weeks. He really doesn't want me to go bac****il after he sees me on the 8th but knows that will exhaust my sick leave so he is willing to work with me (he wanted to know if I could sit and teach - looks like I may have to use wheelchair!)
I went into the surgery prep room around 9:45 and was in surgery for about 2 hours. I was in recovery by 12:05. I met with the doc around 1:15 when he told me what he did and what he wants me to do which it basically nothing (I am with him on that at the moment.) I am hurting and so tired. There is a HUGE bandage on my hip. NO SHOWER for 48 hours!!! YUCK!!!! I am weight bearing with crutches. I am on percocet every 4 hours and I intend to take it every 4 hours!

I am so sorry that you are in pain and that he couldn't fix the tear. Lets hope that with cleaning it up it can maybe heal on it's own. I hope that you can go back to work and sit, sit would be a shame to have to use all your sick time on recovering - you need to use it for something fun! lol
