Happy Surgiversary to me !
Congrats Sandy,
Been too long since I've seen you and I relate to your words of wisdom.
I was just thinking the other day when I got on the scale, how different my life is today and that I am still "successing" as Shauna likes to say, mostly because I stay accountable by doing what I must, because like you, I did not lose as much as some and my mind sometimes tells me I am a failure, but I realize that to be where I am today and to have changed what I have about myself is what "successing" is all about.
We're living it and our abilities to do the things we do now are making us lead richer, fuller lives!
Hugs, Laureen

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Hi Sandy,
I am so rarely here on OH, but I couldn't resist replying. I am also just hitting my 5th year (back on the 21st). Having coined the word "successing", I have to point you back in that direction. You're here on OH, you're determined, you're working your program, you're self aware, you're healthier, you're possessive of your "tool", you're chasing the grandkids, you attend and seek additional support, you GIVE support CONSISTENTLY and WELL. All of these things ARE the definition of successing and you should hold your head high. Successing is not a number on a scale, nor is it a timed race involving competition, as you well know and are loving trying to convey to the newer folks. It is only a process in which you participate over your life. The successing process ends on the final day of your life, when you look back and ask yourself, "Did I succeed?" As you go through the sucessing process, be sure that you are working toward being able to answer that question really, really well so that you can proud of your answer. You won't be answering it for anyone other than Sandy so the ownership value is rather high. I'm very sure that you will be very happy with your answer at that time. Congratulations on your 5th Surgiversary!
Love to you after all of these years!
