Happy Surgiversary to me !

5 Years ago today I had my surgery !  I haven't lost as much as some people but I have not gained it all back either.  My life changed , I have more energy to chase the grandkids around. When we go on vacation, I am not the one sitting on the bench catching my breath.  So all of you
newbies" remember this..
This is just a tool , use it to your potential, exercise when you can. Just because the weight is falling off of you at first it doesn't mean it will stay off. If you don't change your habits you will not succeed !
Like they say, you had surgery on your stomach, not your brain. It takes a while to realize that your "eyes" ARE bigger than your belly now.
Enough for now, I gotta go see what the grand daughter is up to...

Congratulations Sandy!! Wise words from a wise woman! I'm just getting back to exercise and eating better and already feeling better for it.

Your new avitar is great - was this from your last cruise? How was it?

Maybe we'll catch up at a support meeting at Brinton Lake...take care - Kathy

Sandy,
I just wanted to wish you a happy surgiversary! Please do not stop successing. You already have succeeded for 5 years and will continue to lose the weight as long as you acknowledge that this is a tool and not a quick and easy way out. I like your advise to newbies. The further out we get sometimes we get a little ****y and the 10lbs regained turns to 15 and so one. As long as you realize and start going back to the basics you know your tool is still working because thought it takes longer to lose the weight further out. IT is doable. Not impossible. I digress. Keep on successing!

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!
