Thanks for the encouragement, Swede.  I am committing to get to a noon meeting today.  I appreciate everyone's encouragement.  It was such a surprise to see all of the encouragement when I looked at the Roll Call today.

Hugs,
Trish

Hey all!!

Trish---So glad you resisted temptation!!!

Still in Maryland.  Had a fun weekend, hanging out with our neighbors.  They're leaving today, so it will be quiet here again.  Woke up to find the rain blowing sideways, but it's stopped for now and it's bright outside.  Paul wants to go out to breakfast, but since he hasn't gotten up yet, I may just put the coffee on and get my own breakfast.

ETA: Something happened last evening that I commented on to Paul at the time, but it actually sunk into my brain this morning.  I was cold most of yesterday.  When we went to the neighbor's condo, I was wearing shorts, t-shirt, sweatshirt, and slippers.  The neighbor was getting a pair of sweatpants out for herself and asked if I wanted a pair.  It dawned on me that I can now borrow clothes from 'normal' people!  It was a weird feeling, as I'm sure you guys know, but really cool.

Hoping something soon works out job-wise.  I've been looking at home, here, and around where Paul's house is.  Very scary---not much out there.  I had an 'opportunity' last week, but it looks like a pyramid scheme, so we decided not to get involved.

Have a great day, all!!!  Peace and strength to everyone!!

I am sooooo stinking proud of you!!!!!!!!!!!!  Way to make the right step.......Keep it up - the pain you are feeling must be soooo difficult!!!!!!!

What an amazing weekend I had!!!!!!!!  It was filled with friends, running, some family and of course - some soccer!!!!!!!  I felt so great!!!!!!!!  I loved being with so many people who "get it"

Anyway - back to a rainy Monday morning.  My car is being stupid and  I had to borrow my step-dad's wife's car so Larry can get mine into the shop today.  Yup - its that bad that Larry can'e even take care of it - and it has NOTHING to do with him being Jewish.....  After school I am headed home for a quiet afternoon filled with children and homework and an early dinner.  Larry is taking emily to her dance class and then I will take Molly's to hers.

Hoping to watch the Phillies clinch tonight - PS - I am sure they did not over the weekend because I was unable to watch the games and they are so thoughful that they knew I wanted to be part of it!  Yup...they are that wonderful to me! :)

Have a great Monday everyone!!!!! :)

Late good morning, everyone!

Today I am re-committing myself to de-carbing my menu. It is way too easy to let those sneaky carbs in, and I know that when I have too many I stall out. So today might be a little tense for me, but I'm going to grit my teeth and get through it. I brought lots of crunchy vegetables with me to snack on at work so I won't be tempted by all the pretzels, popcorn, chips, and donuts in this place.

After work, I'm going to Zumba, then home to try a new stuffed peppers recipe I'm ridiculously excited about. The autumn weather seems to have brought back my desire to cook -- this is a good thing!

Have a great day everyone!

Lesley

Good job, Lesley for recognizing the need to cut back your carb intake.  That is one of my tempations as well.  Let me know how the stuffed peppers go, because I really love them and would love the recipe.

Have a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Hi Trish,

The recipe I used is from Eggface, and it's here:

Incidentally, she also gave me a shout-out in that same post. And the stuffed peppers were excellent!
