Anyone had Dr Courcoulas

I am being banded 9/28 and wanted to know if anyone had their surgery performed by Dr Courcoulas at Magee in Pittsburgh.  Getting a bit nervous and wanted some reassurace that she really is as good as I think she is :)

Dr. Courcoulas did my lapband surgery. She and her staff are very professional, and courteous. And with her being the head of the bariatric department, you can't go wrong! Best of luck on your journey!

Hope your surgery went well.  How are you feeling now?

When you went in for your appt with Dr. Courcoulas, do you remember if she also did the vertical sleeve?  I have an appt with her at the end of Oct, but if she doesn't do that surgery then I shouldn't waste her time.  I tried to ask the office staff and they told me that I'd have to discuss it with her.  I hung up not sure if she did do VSG or not.

Doing ok Misty.   I am sorry but I don't know all the procedures she does.  I was only inquiring about the RNY or the band so I am sorry I can't be of any help.  (Had not even heard of the vertical sleeve until after I started with the whole process.)

Dr. C is great and her staff is very good, gotta give a thumbs up to Bill for fills, he knows what he is doing. You will be in good hands.

Thanks for the info.  I am finding out myself the same things.  Have not had a fill yet but I'll know to ask for Bill!
