follow up - liver enzyme update
Group,
FYI- my 2nd blood draw revealed my liver enzymes were just fine. Reason for increase:
"The AST is also elevated after a myocardial infarction, and during acute pancreatitis, acute hemolytic anemia, severe burns, acute renal disease, musculoskeletal diseases, and trauma. Because intramuscular (IM) injections cause muscle trauma that may release AST and ALT into the bloodstream, IM injections should be avoided before LFTs are done" It was my AST value that was 82 and the range is 7-42. I had exercised at the gym immediatly before going to get my blood drawn and I had/have not been going to the gym on a regular basis.

Ya - they looked at me like I grew a 3rd eye when I suggested that, perhaps, my exercise had elevated the level.... they were thinking along the lines of liver issues (drinker) or hep (drug user)..
When I did the research and pointed out that weightlifting (and running to some degree) * *is* * MUSCULAR TRAMA...
I think my levels were elevated because I had not been going/exercising on a regular basis. Had I been on my 5day/week kick for a while I'm sure it would not have been elevated, or at least not as much.
How's the 1/2 marathon training coming?
