Thundering Thursday Roll Call
Wow what a light show we had last night it was beautiful. I hope no one suffered any ill effects from it. You could smell the ozone in the air. Anyway, I am up because I cannot breathe when I lie down. Colds really do suck. I actually called out from work today that is how crap I feel. Gonna just laze around today and try and get well so I can have some fun this weekend.
We had a quiet night up here in Potter County. Sorry you feel crappy. I do too but not due to illness Because stress is so high, my hubby spent the day in the ER yesterday with an anxiety attack. Things are a bit rough right now.
Today is a half day at work. I start the CNA class next week with no promises of a job after. However, there is a possibility of a new job when I complete it. It will only be for a couple years but I will come out of it certified to work with veterans. So, it looks like I MAY have two positives coming up.

ugh that light show...
I was at First Strides when it started. We were told at the beginning if anyone saw lightning to tell the mentors and they were to blow their whistle 3x to notify the other groups so everyone could get to their cars safely. Our group noticed the sky darkening very quickly and decided to cross the bridge to the same side our cars were parked on. As we were crossing the bridge (iron, no less), we saw the first flash of lightning. I made it to my car just before the downpour started. I ended up sitting in my car for about 10 minutes waiting for the rain to slow down. Then, when I did leave, I had to maneuver around a lot of quick moving water and eventual pick up of the rain again. SHEESH.. what a night.. and yes, after I picked up Siehara and we made it home, I had a nice frosty glass of CHOCOVINE!!!!!!
ANYWAY... a friend of mine came over last night to hang out for a bit and we talked for awhile. Then, I couldn't get to sleep until after 1. Needless to say, I am pretty tired this morning. I really need to catch up on my sleep one of these days.
Today has me working a bit of OT. I don't think I'll work much past 3:30, though, because I really do need to get a bit of rest. Tonight, we are headed over to the Caine's house to have dinner in their sukkah. I'm bringing a bottle of chocovine with because they are definite chocolate lovers and I think they will really enjoy it. I can only have a little bit of it because it is a bit stronger, but if I mix it in the blender, it's all good!

Nic, hope the day off work does you good. Take naps!
I am posting from Amtrak this morning en route to the office in Philly. It is so foggy you cant see a thing out the windows!
Work today, with meetings today and tomorrow. I will be in the city overnight and have a dinner to attend. My cold isn't as bad as Nicole's but I know that by then, I would rather nap than hang out with a group for a dinner that will take too long!
Good news - I chose the restaurant so I know what I will eat. And of course I have protein drinks in my bag, along with string cheese, yogurt, almonds, and a protein bar.should get me thru.
Have a great day guys....supposed to be a little steamy.

Over 176+ lbs lost since surgery!! :-)
See my profile for my OH Blog!!
Two days from vacation and I DO NOT WANT TO GO TO WORK TODAY!!! I should be on the road already - It will surely take me at least 1 hr 20 min.. I will roll in just before 9 today.. oh well!
Work today and then to Center City to a "happy hour" at Moriarty's Irish pub for one of the vendors that I do a lot of work with. It is a good networking thing for the self employed like me, so I am going to go at least for a little while.
Am happy today though - check out the ticker

P.S - when I ran out of the bathroom and jumped on mark to deliver my news, his response "and you are going to surpass your goal, right?" and I know he meant it in a nice way, but of course the warp interpreter in my head heard "you have more to lose, right?"
