Tanya (tanya72100)'s surgery UPDATE

Please keep Tanya in your prayers.  She is having a thyroidectomy and goiters removed today.  She had to be at the hospital at 8:00 for a 10:00 surgery.  I just got off the phone with her and she says she feels ok and the kids are ok.  I'm sure she is putting on a front for someone, but things will be ok.  

Her mom flew down to Florida to be there with her and help with the kids so her hubby doesn't have to miss too much work.  Hubby, mommy and baby Marshall are there with her at the hospital.  A wonderful neighbor is getting the 2 older kids off to school. 

I will keep you updated as I hear anything.  Her mom and/or hubby will be contacting me with info as it is received.

She is in my thoughts and prayers. I did send her a text early this morning.

If you can let us know when she is out and doing well we would appreciate.

got a text from Tanya's hubby..

Dr finished around 12:00 and they were just waiting for her to wake up..

I'll let you know as I hear more.

SO I just talked to Tanya's mom and she said that Tanya had some heavy bleeding and they are keeping her in ICU as a precaution for now.  She did say that she got to talk to her for a few minutes and that her hubby was able to see her, as well.  She is loopy, of course, and in a lot of pain--worse than gastric bypass per Tanya. 

The surgeon said the surgery did go well and she had the biggest thyroid he had ever seen... he's glad it, and all the tumors are out. 

Keep Tanya in your thoughts and prayers and I will continue to update you when I hear anything.
