How long did it take you?
I stopped completely at 2 years and started up again this past November. Lost 60# since November. I don't fit the norm, I have lymphedema and the fluid is really hard on the scale. I was told recently at a plastics consult that I have no fat left to lose, all that is left is lymph tissue and excess skin, so I only expect to continue to lose fluid if anything.
Thank you everyone for your post. I don't know if anyone would read this now that it's 3 days old, but, I reached my personal goal of 166#. The doctor's goal for me is 150#. I am hovering around 160-161#. I really do want to lose the additional 10#, but at this rate, it's already discouraging this early. I thought I had about 7-8 more months to lose fairly easily. At the VERY least, until my 1 year surgiversary.
I am going to be setting timers to be sure I don't drink too soon after meals and another timer to be sure I'm not eating too often as well as NO CARBS! I know they are the devil for me...so, I'm not doin any but milk and maybe fruit.
Thank you again everyone that posted. It's very helpful to read everyones experiences.
@Nan - you've lost 288#, you can't have much of anything left to lose at 147#! Good for you!
@Pam - definitely going to try to change things up in a big way this week.
@Sara - big smile when you "didn't suggest" a motorcycle accident. Dually noted. But a liquid diet may be in order if changing things up doesn't shake things loose.
@Maura & Dawn - exercise could be a place I can turn to. I'm not a regular exerciser...Thanks for the reminder. I'd be thrilled with 6# a month right now. The last couple have been 2-4 pounds. Most recent month was more like 1-2#.
I guess that I've heard so many people "bottom out" and bounce back up about 15#...I DON'T want to bounce 15 up from here. I need to bottom out about 15 pounds from HERE to make that statistic ok with me.
