***Thrilling Thursday Roll Call***
Overslept this morning. Too many drugs last night I guess.
I had that awful EMG on my arms yesterday where they stick needles up and down your arms and shoot electricity there too. Not fun.
Should get results today and hopefully the dr will decide course of treatment. Long Long Long day yesterday. Won't ease up til Sunday. I am hanging on knowing that's not far away.
Hope everyone is doing well.

I stayed up late last night but kept my committment to my 5:45 spin class this am. Must admit, was slightly disappointed....most of my motivation for going was that I knew my favorite instuctor does that one, and she only does one other during the week I can *sometimes* get to. Well....guess who was on vacation? Didn't know that till I showed up. The girl subbing was good, so all is ok.
The point of getting up that early despite staying up late is so that I can get crap done and get an early nap in. Normally I sleep from about 1p or 2p - 4p/5p on my first night back. However, I have a doctors appointment at 5pm tonight. So I need to get stuff done, and take an early nap and be up by around 3:30 the absolute latest. I'm gonna be "greedy" and aim for 10am or so...after little sleep last night, I need a good solid amount tonight before doctor, 12 hour work shift, and then the gym in the am.
Stuff to get done today: Pack up food for work, clean out my car so people don't think my car is actually my apartment on wheels, pay some bills, make a phone call to my grandparents.
Doctor appointment, work, gym
I am soon heading to bed as I've been up over 24 hours. So a day of sleeping for me. Then up to make dinner for my mom and my family. Then hanging out and heading back to work tonight!
Enjoy the day. It's is beautiful out! At least WAY down here in South Central PA!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
Another action packed day! Taking dogs to the groomer, a full day at the store, a chiropractor appt., then a board meeting at Unity tonight.
The store has been super busy!! LOTS of people bringing in clothes, I am getting very picky so I don't run out of room. Planning the Grand Opening this Saturday, come out if you are nearby. Info is on the Facebook page, search Abundant Style.
I have been very good about eating and drinking in between all the madness at the store. Big drop in weight this week, must have been the Zumba Gold class I took on Monday.
Hope everyone has a GREAT day!!!

My sister and b-i-l arrived yesterday and were at the house when I got home from work - they treated everyone to dinner out, which was nice. Vicki and I got a chance to sit outside and talk for a while last night while the guys all watched TV - her son is the one who moved in with us. Bill is very close to me as Vicki and I lived together when he was a baby and were a 'family' for many years - he always refers to me as his second mom. Anyway, we're all working with him to get his community service time in, get his classes done, and get his license, and his life, back on track.
I am very concerned about my sister now after seeing her last night - her weight is about the same as it was in May when we were in Florida but she can barely walk - she has a bone spur on her ankle that is wrapped around her achilles tendon, and because they won't operate on it and the sheer weight bearing down on it it continues to get worse. They finally gave her a 'boot' to wear, which helped the foot, but then really messed her hip and knee up - so now she can barely walk. I honestly don't know how she tolerated the long ride from Florida to here. We didn't get a chance to talk about her lapband surgery - I'm kind of waiting for her to bring it up and I won't bring it up in front of her husband. I didn't tell her son, either - not sure if she said anything to him or not. But hopefully she'll have it done and soon, get some weight off that foot and hip and be able to move around better. She's pretty immobile now.
Tonight I'm getting my hair colored and cut - its awful and has been let go far too long! My stylist has her work cut out for her tonight - LOL!!
And that's about it for me today - take care everyone.

I am sitting in my classroom waiting for the lovely children to arrive. Teaching my normal day today then headed to the surgeon for more drainage. It is getting less and less everytime I go! YAY! Then home for the duration of the evening. Of course - I am actually home tonight and the Phillies are off - maybe I should try to get some work done.....hhmmm...what an idea!
We ended up going out for dinner last night in lieu of the dreaded sushi - I was much happier - and Larry seemed to enjoy himself and the kids were all relatively well behaved - He enjoyed his gift of the Nook and I am sure will be spending the morning figuring out how to work it. I am guessing when I call him later he will be cursing me out becuase HE can't figure it out....Good thing he is cute! :)
Hope you all have a THrilling Thursday!
Nothing planned for today, other than 'babysitting' for a couple of hours this afternoon. Paul went with me yesterday and helped the boy with his math homework. I could see the child getting irritated that he had to re-do problems that were wrong, but he managed to keep it together. He's an angry child---sad history, along with Asperger's---and needs counseling, but there are insurance hurdles.
This is my bachelorette night. Paul has his son tonight, and I won't be going with him because of babysitting. Don't tell Paul , but I love these occasional nights to myself!!!
Have a great day, my friends!!! Sending prayers and good wishes to those dealing with issues today!!
Trish congrats on your 8 months of sobriety. I hope you have success with the surgery and eliminating pain.
Today finds me still doing laundry and put away at my daughters house. Hope to be able to break out the sewing machine to do some repairs on her family's clothing, and make new curtains for the girls bedroom.
Need to contact HR from work to get my address changed on all the paperwork. I called payroll yesterday, and wanted them to be aware that I now live in a different state, and that they need to stop taking out the Pa tax, they told me that with the buyout that pays out for four years, needs to have the taxes taken out in the state from which I retired.(??? what) She said I could file to have the money refunded,(which they will earn interest on for a year) and the local taxes Bucks county do not give refund, so I guess that is just a donation???) Gona contact my tax person to see if there is anything I can do about any of this. A run to the market is also in the works, as my daughter and her family, are going to Balt. for a ball game on Friday nite, then the Balt aquarium on Sat. (I get to have the company of my littlest granddaughter for the two day stint) so I am planning on making sure I have what I need in the house for those few days.
Hope you all have a good day, and are easily able to cope with what you will encounter for the day.

Last night was crazy- got home from the gym (biked 5 miles first day & I'm not sore -yay me!) and went to get the girls from daycare- hung out at the house and played with kids and dog until bedtime for the girls. Had a fire in the fire pit and enjoyed all the hard work and money spent on the back yard...though it was mostly dark and cold. Then my mom called needed hubby to come help with the care of my dying father (personal care stuff)...then I locked the house down called it a night...left the light on for DH. Today I am learning to cope with the weight not magically melting away- and it taking work. Found my swimsuit so I am going to swim after work, and plan on doing the same routine tonight- minus being outside to play. Need to stay up later tonight to work with the dog- some training- he's a baby dane and thinks he's a mini weiner dog. Gotta get him more trained before he's jumbo, at 4 months he's over 60 pounds.
Hope everyone has a great day!
