I've left Onederland...
Jen,
I was at the Barix post- op meeting last night as I have had 20lbs regain. I needed to be there an a few of my good friends told me they would not let me give up the good fight. My dad generously offered to pay for my plastics I will not touch his money until I lose the 20lbs to get the plastic surgery done. We are further out and you know it and I know it this does get harder the further along we are. I love your courage that you share your inner demons as well as your triumphs. Keep on truckin'....

I used to take Zoloft and that packed abou7t 45-55 pounds on over about 10 months. I switched to Lexapro and although I didn't/couldn't lose the weight, I did stop gaining. How many kinds have you tried? I'd ask the doctor to switch asap. You'll get there again. Go back and reread all your information you received when you were first getting your surgery. Get a firm grasp of the rules of the tool again and follow them. No sugar, no carbs, no caffeine, no alcohol and no carbonation. Those are at least my rules from my doc. I should have them tattooed on my arm.
Jen,
I agree with the others that you should explore other antidepressants. I don't think it's a good idea to just give them up altogether, IMHO. And I def agree with Pam---you ain't filling up that old skin again, girl!!!! Come to the board more often, go to some support meetings, but know you're not alone.

Hi Jenn,
I hear you on those meds that help you gain weight. I am on two that help me. I was in Onederland for a short while, around Christmas of 2007, and have not been there since. I put back 35 of my 100 lost and have been holding there.
Don’t be discouraged. Just get back to basics and you will be fine.
Hugs,
Trish
Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

I went back on Welburtin after my hysterectomy and lost 5 pounds. The first month of being on it makes me not want to eat...LOVE IT. then the "side effects" go away and I only gainned 2 of it back. I only use Wellbutrin.I tried tons of them but hated the nasty sexual side effects and of course the weight gain. My mom does a combo of Wellbutrin and Zoloft and doesn't gain with that combo.
Good luck.
Tracy
Good luck.
