surgery

I am finally getting my hip fixed!  I go for pre-op testing today and into surgery on the 28th.  I could be off from 1 to 6 weeks depending on what he finds when he goes in.  (One week if it just to clean up the tear or up to six weeks if he does a repair.)  The doc said a MRI doesn't show everything but it shows enough to know there is a tear in the labrum.  I would appreciate any thoughts and prayers.  I am a little apprehensive about surgery... hoping surgery works but wondering what happens if surgery doesn't fix the tear and of course all the other nervous feelings about anesthesia and being cut open again.  I just really want to be able to run again... if things go well, I might be able to start running again in January.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Praying for the best outcome possible and that you will be lacing up your running shoes in January.  My daughter and son are runners, and they would go nuts if they were sidelined.

Hugs,
Trish
Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!
