My Sister!
I know I have talked about my older sister on here before and how concerned I've been about her weight issues, and the fact that she's suffering from a heel spur wrapped around her achilles tendon and looking at hip replacement in November. Well she called earlier and has decided to have the lapband surgery!! I'm so happy for her - she says she doesn't think she can do the RNY but I told her we all have to do what is right for us, and if she feels lapband is right for her then she should go for it. She's met a girl (her drycleaner) who had lapband 2 years ago and went to a meeting with her and is helping her through the process.
I am so happy for her!! I may come out here or to the lapband boards and ask questions from time to time, so I hope you all don't mind. I don't see her as a person who will be involved in a support board like this one - she's barely on FB and isn't a big computer person, but I want to help her and encourage her along the way the best I can.

Kathy that is great news I know you have spoken of her and your concerns in the past,. The Barix lapband leader is obin Rehr she does not come on the boards much but she is always avaialble via email and by phone. If you want I can pm her info to you ...Robin is 2 + years out and has lost over 100+ pounds.
