** "Tis the Season" Tuesday Roll Call **

And so it begins for so many of us on this board - either as an educator or a parent - To some - it is the most wonderful time of the year.....BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!!!!!

It is 2:30 in the morning and the kids are not the only ones who have a hard time sleeping the night before school starts!   I guess the two hour nap earlier today was not the smartest thog to do - oh well....There is always tomorrow night! :)

I will be getting up again shortly to get showered and get the kids up and ready.  Clothes are already out and backpacks are packed adn ready to go - I just need to make a few lunches and send them off - I then will head to my first day with my students.  Channel 6 news will be coming to my school to film the first day - so MAYBE I will be on TV - I will dress pretty no matter what! :)  After school I have to head directly to the synagogue for a teacher's meeting and then home for my last Tuesday night at home for a while.... (Shoot me now!)

I hope your Tuesday is lovely as you start to deal with the school busses and the parents and teachers back on the roads....(I apologize now for any road issues I may cause!).  Good luck to all of you! :)

Best of luck to you on your first day back, and I hope that you get a great group of kids to teach this year. 

Thnks David - I hope so to - but after teaching for 10 years - each group of kids that I teach is a great group in their own way - My job is to find what make them great!

Steffi Good luck with your first day back at school. my family down south have been back for several weeks so I have been hearing about all of their back to school drama. I hope that you dont have any.

I am back to work today after a nice long weekend. I also had trouble sleeping I often do after being off for awhile. I am hoping for a uneventful day. Gotta go get my intern and set her up for the day, then off to the races.

One thing that is good, is Jason is off this week so when I get home we are going to ROOTS Market, I have never been there, I am never off on Tuesdays to go, so we are going to check it out. Will be nice coming home to him.

OT does anyone know of any corset shops? Went to Passional and Delicous Corsets in Philly and they were not helpful.

Aaaaah, school.  I will be starting "school" on the 27th.  I didn't do too well in my last training so hopefully this will be better.  My eventual goal is LPN.   We shall see.

Today is my short day at work.  Went for a great bike ride yesterday.  I just may do that again today.  We shall see.  I think I better step up my activity level. 

Tomorrow is my pre-employment physical and process.  They wanted me to find my shot records.  HA!  We have moved so much and I am not that young any more.  Don't know how much success I will have.

Today also begins the first day back to school for me!! Today is just the Teacher Organizational Day...lots of paperwork and meetings etc...tommorrow the students arrive!!! Soooo excited for the new school year!!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year....

Thought I'd go along with your Xmassy theme...

1st day of school.. Siehara has been up for an hour already.  She was showered, dressed,  and sitting on the sofa eating a popsicle when I got up at 6:15.   Yes, she thinks this is breakfast.  No, I did not let her get away with eating JUST that for breakfast.  I filled out the medical form, wrote a note for her absences later this week and kissed her (this was met with the typical moans and groans)  Meds are starting to kick in (for her)  I reminded her to be on her best behavior and work hard. .. more groans, but I think she'll really be different this year.  Let's all hope!

I'm working til 3:30

After work/school is more school.  Hebrew School!!   I am meeting one of the babysitters for the holidays at the synagogue at 4:15 to show her the room she will be hanging out in when she helps us out.  I'll also go over the basics of what she has to do and what the kids are allowed and not allowed to do while in there.  

Once Hebrew School is done, I'll have something for Siehara to eat for dinner with me and we will head to the gym for Pilates.  I missed it Thursday and I really need to go back. 

That's it for me.  Did I mention IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!  back to structure and routine... THANK GOODNESS!!

Good Morning All. No school in my house! lol

I am up early finishing the prep for my test today - YUCK! Amelia is up, fed, dressed and napping in her swing. I am about to get into the shower and get dressed. We have to leave the house at 8:30 so I'll have to wake Chris soon too. This afternoon my Mom is going to bring me home and probably hang out for a bit, we'll see. I am so tired so a nap will probably be in order.
