OK - who's moving today?

I got to the gym this morning, and did 40 minutes on the treadmill, combining incline and speed with upper body work (punches, strikes, twists).  Followed up with back extension machine and abdominal crunch machine, and stretches.

NEXT week (monday) I start a new class  - Mon, Tues, Wed, and Thurs nights from 6 - 7 for 4 weeks - called "Commit to be Fit".  2 days of strength and flexibility, 2 days of cardio and interval each week.  It's a small class (max 6 people) so shoudl be intense.  I'm looking forward to it (and scared, too!).

So.... what are you doing today?

so on my roll call I mentioned that I miss pilates.. guess I'm missing it today, too.

I forgot that Siehara has a med check appointment tomorrow so I won't be able to go to First Strides tomorrow.  Therefore, I will go tonight.  I will be a bit late, but will get there.  That means I will be walking/jogging for at least 40 minutes.  I will probably come home and do some of the stretches myself or watch a pilates/yoga show that I taped from FitTV.  I definitely need the good stretch after First Strides.

 Hey All!

I don't post much and I want to try to increase it, so here I am =)

I have a full day of classes and meetings but I have plans to do Zumba tonight with some girl friends.  I have the videos and we like to do the 20 mins express workout followed by the 20 mins abs.  The abs is fun but I never feel like it's really doing anything for them, so I just consider it more cardio.  I'm trying to modify a P90X ab workout a friend introduced me to.  I have a hard time sitting on the floor doing the crunches and such, even with a mat. So I've started to place a full pillow under me and so far it's working out pretty well.  I just want to be able to wake up and really feel like I did an ab routine lol.

Walking and climbing stairs up and down SLOWLY. My RA has now flared down to my left knee. Call the doctor this morning wants me to inject Humaira every week for the next 6 weeks until the flare up has tamed down and of course take 5 methotrexate pills every Monday. Sigh it is what it is...Thanks for listening...

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!
