6 of the best years of my LIFE!

Today marks 6 years since I rolled into the OR and had my RNY!

I can't believe it's been that long. Yet at other times, it seems longer. The old me is slowly a distant memory. New ideas, new mindsets and new attitudes progressively take over the old ones.

I am so happy with the success this surgery has given me. I struggle, get down in the dumps and beat myself up at times. But overall, I AM PROUD!

I am still down 110 pounds. Only 8 pounds from my lowest but give me a break.....I had 2 post op kids and well...........giving birth changes everything.

I want to thank all of you for the support and  friendship I get here. I miss checking in everyday, but guess what???????????

THAT"S WHAT RNY DID TO ME!

I have the energy to work part-time, go to school full time and manage 4 kids. So I am happy with the chaos I call my life because I would have never been able to do all of this pre-op.

To all pre-ops, and post-ops (1 day out or 4 years out)............WLS CAN BE a long term success. I am proof of it 6 years later! (Oh and Old man Norm too as he has a year on me) But I digress......this is MY happy day!

Love to all, strength to all, support to all and hugs to all

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Jodi I am so proud of you. You have done amazing for someone who is 6 years out and good lord you had 2 kids? What is my excuse for these extra lbs? We love having you here, and some day soon we are all just going to have to come invade Gettysburg. We want to hang out with you.
I have your art work on my wall in my office and it makes me feel good everyday, nice to know you are around. Love ya to bits even though we have never met

You are such an amazing person Jodi.  I truly don't know how you do it.  RNY or not.. I have one kid and one job and feel like  I have no time for anything.  I need a part time job, but can't do it. (though you do have an adult partner to help with that stuff).  Anyway, this is about you..

You have rocked your tool and remained faithful to it.  You have been a great source of advice and inspiration to so many people.  I am so grateful to have "met" you and can't wait until the next battle of Gettysburg when the east coast comes to take you away!!!
