Today I am choosing to be in a state of gratitude. Gratitude for the friends and family in my life...gratitude for all my wonderful friends here on OH...gratitude for the continued blessings in my life.  I am choosing to look at the positives today and take care of the things I can do and try not to worry or get anxious over the things I can not control.

As for my outfit for today...I am wearing a navy blue sundress, white keds (my favs!!lol) and hair is curly, curly and my makeup is done...I am wearing a smoky eye with a hint of blue liner on my lower lid!! Earrings and a happy smile complete the look!!! I love this dress cause it is so cool and comfy to wear when it is so awful hot outside.  I love that I can show off my arms and not be worried about "pillow" arms or my "bat wings"...I just like feeling pretty when I wear this dress!!!

So what are you wearing today????? How is your attitude????

Much luv!!!

So when I woke this morning I was what to wear wht to wear I made the choice o a turquiose skort and yellow tank top that read "Dreams are my Reality" I have on Adidas flip flops...I feel comfy and my outlook today is to remain calm and serene.

Attitude... gratitude and peaceful'  Grateful for supportive friends and family.    Grateful for my hubby who is finally learning the idea of portion control (for both him and me)

Peacefulness -- will help me stay focused.  Today is a busy day at work, with promise of many situations to challenge my ability to multitask and stay calm.  And, remember, that I cannot control everything .

Outfit -- comfy today with blue jeans and casual jacket, white tank underneath.  I also took time to put on full makeup.....blue eye shadow and liner....

(I got the memo about wearing blue today -- did you?) LOL

Happy Thursday!

Woke up today feeling great as today is my Friday and we're heading to our friends place at the beach tonight so I chose my white Coldwater Creek jeans (my favs) and a purple tie-dye too with amethyst jewelry. Hair is really cooperating these days which also makes me a happy camper!

Laura,

Don't know if I've told you this, but i"m really liking what this thread is doing.  It's not so much about what I'm wearing, as it is making myself conscious of what I'm feeling and how that's influencing my choices.  So THANK YOU for thinking of it and starting it. Even when I'm not posting, I'm thinking about choices, and that's a good thing!

Anyway, today I'm choosing to be happy and serene.  Despite running late, I chose to take my time at the gym and do my full workout and then some, as part of "pushing myself" that I need to do right now mentally and physically.  I also chose not to freak out over being a few minutes later than usual getting to work, realizing that it really doesn't matter and no one honestly will even notice other than me.  (and they're getting way more than 37.5 hours from me each week anyway, so the "lost time' isn't an issue).

Last night, when I picked out my clothes for today, I was very conscious of how hot and humid it's going to be, and also that it may be the "last gasp" of really hot weather. ( Also needed something I could wear with shoes that weren't going to further aggravate the really bad blister on my pinky toe.)   I chose my white lands end side-zipper pants (love them!) and a black "swing tank" with an asymmetrical hem that I love.  My white sketchers sneakers with rhinestones and a long multi-strand silver necklace completes the look.  Oh... and my silver rings including the new woven index finger ring I made last weekend.  I feel light and summery and ready to move.

Karen-
Thank you so much for the kind words...it was really an idea started on roll call last week...but I like how I can use this as a way to focus my attitude for the day and really hone in on the positives of the WLS journey...and how we present ourselves is just one way to do that. How we look and feel and how we present ourselves to the world..but largely and more so how we can continue to build our self esteem which for so many of us is fragile and needs rebuilding.  It is almost a meditative reflective process (well for me anyway!) But thank you and I am glad that this thread has been so well recieved!!! I love it!

Much luv!!!
