5 days post-op, and I feel great!

Well I'm 5 days post-op after having my Realize Band placed laparoscopically (I'm sure that is spelled wrong), and I have to say that I feel great. Luckily I haven't had any complications after surgery, and the pain that I've had has been very minimal. Every once in a while if I turn/twist weird, I get a slight sharp pain where my port is. But overall I'm actually surprised at how little pain I've felt since surgery. There have been a few times that I guess I took too big of a sip of liquid, and I can't this very strange feeling where my band is. It wasn't pain per se, just a strange feeling. But I'm not worried about that cause it just reminds me to take a smaller sip for the next time.
Honestly I think my biggest complaint right now is the itching where my hair is starting to grow back in on my stomach from where they shaved it all off! And for that I'm extremely thankful that that is my only complaint right now. LOL
But anyways, after having the band placed I've started feeling like a new me already. I actually am feeling more hopeful about my future, and I'm feeling more motivated then I have in a long time. Before surgery I wasn't the most active person, and after surgery I've started walking. Tonight I took a nice 20 minute walk around the loop in the neighborhood behind my house. It was only 8/10ths of a mile. But the crazy thing is that after I did the loop once, I wanted to keep on going around again. I didn't though, cause I don't wanna overdo it at first. But that just surprised me, a week ago I wasn't exercising at all, and now I wanted to just keep on going.. Amazing what a little bit of motivation can do to a person.
Anyways, sorry I guess this post turned out being kinda long...
