Sweet Sunday Roll Call
Good Morning PA,
We can have Sweet days in our lives just based on our attitudes.
Yesterday, I stopped taking a certain med, and I went on a tear in my bedroom, cleaning and organizing. I felt so proud at the end of the day. I also found a pedometer and decided to wear it and see how much I walked from noon till the end of my day. I went over 4000 steps. My goal for today is 6000, just to see if I can do that.
Today I will try to get to church, where I have not been in months. Then, I must get to the gym and try to get a lane for swimming. After that, I am going to get to work on some bibs I am making to sell. My friend is heading to her Mom's where they have a farm store with a gift shop. Her Mom sells stuff she knits and is willing to sell my bibs.
I hope everyone has a great day, and remembers that life can be sweet without sugar.
Hugs,
Trish

Trish--I love what you said "We can have Sweet days in our lives just based on our attitudes." Terrific!!!! What a great way to think!! Good luck with your bibs that is sooooo wonderful!
As for me there is not much on the agenda for today...I cleaned and organized my place yesterday and got the laundry done etc....so today I am probablly going to get a jump start on my first weeks lesson plans for school. Then just hang here at home...I got Tales of the city dvds from Netflix based on the Armistead Maupin book so I may just snuggle up on the couch and watch them..
Other than that not really having anything planned...Hope everyone has a SWEET SUNDAY!!!!!
Much luv!

Today I am heading to the Transforming you life after WLS Workshop to see what it is about and to meet up with Marilyn on some possible collaboration. Then today will be about chores and cooking. I am cooking some comfort foods today from the south, I do this every once in awhile.
Looks like it will be a gorgeous day
Trish, with each passing day/post, I can tell you are feeling and doing better! Keep up the good work. I wear my pedometer every day. Someday's I am amazed at the fact that I've walked 12,000 steps! Most of the time it's between 10 and 11,000.
Today, husband and I are going to DCCC flea market. When I get back, I'll be doing the laundry I did not get to yesterday. I want to get to the flea market before It gets too hot outside. Not looking forward to heat wave #8! I was getting used to having the windows open and the fresh air. It's been lovely. Oh well. All good things must come to an end.
Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Trish good luck with your bibs!
Today getting ready for church. Gene & I are ushering this week then next week Gene is preaching and I'll have the role of worship leader. Have to get started on my prayers and such for next week when I get home.
After church, will probably go see Gene's mom, then Whole Foods, then home to wash, clean, and do all the stuff I didn't get to yesterday. Also have to make some applesauce and some peachsauce so I can get in my fruits. I still can't chew anything, tomorrow I get the stitches out of my mouth. Hopefully things will start looking up once they are out. I'm starting to get tired of liquids and pureed foods. It's been two weeks now, I miss my raisins!!!!!
Have a great day...

I had a GREAT day down the shore yesterday. Went shopping at the AC outlets with a great friend and found an amazing dress that didn't make me look pregnant and really cute shoes to wear with it! Wore it out to a comedy club and Buddakhan last night. I LOVED how I looked! It really is amazing how what we wear can alter our moods. I did not hate my belly last night. And, I measured - it is measuring the same as it did the day before when I was complaining about when the swelling would go down! :) again, baby steps! Today I will be hanging around my in-laws house hoping that they will all go to the beach and leave me alone. We didn't get home til after 2 AM and then I went to take mt medications and did something to my throat - I am in so much pain. Not sure how two little pills can scratch my throat so badly, but it is killing me! I tried gargling with sal****er - nothing...so here I sit, with about 5 hours of sleep, in pain....oh well....better to be in pain down the shore then to be in pain at home! :)
Hope you all have a SWEET Sunday! :)
Not too much in my agenda today. Maybe some light cleaning. No cooking today because we brought home so much food from dinner out last night.
Hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy the fantastic weather.

Good luck with the bibs, Trish!!!
I was up most of the night. No idea why, but I just couldn't sleep. Being in a tiny condo, I ended up sitting on the bathroom floor so I could put a light on and read. I think I stuck my head out the front door around 2am to ask the neighbor 'kids' to keep it down. College kids been working here all summer and are sowing their last wild oats.
I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm having pain on my left side in my abdomen. It's not near my incision, so I'm not sure what's going on. I'll give it a day or so, then call my surgeon if it's not better. I won't go to the hospital around here because I'd get socked with out-of-network medical bills.
I guess we're off to hang on the beach today. Anson is looking forward to the big waves so he can boogie board, but I'm concerned about the rip currents due to the hurricanes/tropical storms that are out there. When Paul and I returned from our walk yesterday, we 'helped' with a rescue. Not sure what happened, other than a man was body surfing and hit his head on something. I'm guessing it was the ocean floor/beach as he was bleeding, had pain in his right arm, and didn't seem able to stand up. Someone helped him out of the ocean, Paul stayed behind him to provide some protection from waves, and I waved down the lifeguard. The man was taken out by ambulance. I hope he's ok!
Have a great day my friends!!!
Sounds like you are on top of things Trish! Good for you!!
Yesterday I made some SF peanut butter cookies and some SF brownie cupcakes. The cookies turned out pretty good but the cupcakes I baked a little long so they are more like cake then brownies. Anybody know where to get Maltitol in a store? I have seen it online but not in the store. I want to pick up some it really makes a difference in how the brownies turned out!
Today, I am chillin with my girl! Hubby is home sick AGAIN!! Of course, being a man he won't call the doctor!! I am going to try to hold off on putting the AC on as long as I can today. It seems that heatwave no. 8 is on its way just in time for me to go back to work!! I hope the AC is working in my building. A brand new building and the ac only works sometimes, go figure???
Two more days of freedom then back to reality...
Have a great day!!
Love, Beth

Trish hope your bibs sell fast, so you can remake some and make more money.
Today finds me heading home to Pa. I haven't been home since July 6th. Think my husband will know who I am? Another week of non babysitting duties will find my husband and I turning right around and headed for Tn. again. This time he gets to go and stay the week maybe, we will see. Did go to a support group meeting down there and got some websites I had not heard about before, so when I get back down there,(where I left my notes for the meeting, I will post these websites in case they are new, and you can check them out. Some are for food products, and some for recipes I think.) Have already done two miles this am (behind the baby stroller). It is beautiful out down here on the Eastern Shore, sunshine and a mild breeze. Hope you all have a good day, and those of you who are facing challenges stay strong. Steffi hope you throat feels better soon.
Hugs Ena
