Hello PA,
Today, August 28, is my four year surgiversary.  I am not where I want to be, but I am not where I used to be either.  Progress not perfection is my goal.

Saturday has me attempting to get out of the apartment, as I have been going stir crazy recuperating from the meds I have been on.  Long story.

Hope all are well.

Hugs,
Trish

Trish,
Happy Surgiversary. I agree progress not perfection should be everyone's goal. I try to live by that motto these days. Let me know if you ever need company to walk and stuff we don't live too far from each other. You already know I am in Twin Oaks if you ever want to meet up at a Tyler State Park some weekend I would love the company. These days my RA is so bad I can't do the heavy duty cardio so I have been walking a lot...

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

I am going to take you up on the offer of a walk, Shilpa.  If not Tyler, we could do Core Creek, they have a nice path near the lake and woods.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning PA

Happy surgiversary Trish.  Your on the right track for healing both mentally and physically.  Keep it up!

This morning I am going to the gym in about 15 mins.  Then cleaning my house.  My oldest son and his family are coming home today from Japan.  He was suppose to be there for three years for this new Navy tour.  Long story short, they don't have the facilities there to help my DIL with her back issues so they are sending them back to Norfolk.  Happy and disappointed at the same time.  Was looking forward to taking a vacation to Japan within then next year or so.  Having them closer so we can see the baby more is so much better!

Have a wonderful day my peeps!

Good morning everyone!!!

Happy surgiversary Trish!!!  I think you are def on the right track and have a great attitude--you continue to make the changes in your life you need. Your outlook is positive--"Progress not perfection" is an excellent way to look at this journey! Keep on successing!!! (((HUGS)))

As for me today has me cleaning my place thoroughly--can not stand clutter! Then doing laundry, heading to the post office, and then to the dollar store to pick up a few items.  Then hopefully I will be heading over to the trail at the park to start my C25k program today!

I also  want to organize all my teaching resources and get a jump start on my first two weeks of lesson plans for the new school year so on Monday I can just drop my copy folder off to our secretary to have my papers run off so I will be ready to  go on the 8th!

Other than that just going to take some time to enjoy this gorgeous day!

Have a Super Saturday!!!!

Much luv!
Laura

Good Morning All

Happy Surgiversary Trish!!!

Today I am hanging out at home with Amelia, Chris is working then going out with the boys to shoot pool. I want to prep food for the week and do some cleaning. Oh and take a nap! lol Tonight I am driving to Newark NJ to get my parents for the airport. I am so excited to see them. It's been 17 days, they were on an Alaskan tour / cruise. Yes, I am 30 years old and I miss my parents! My Mom and I are very close. I also can't wait for them to see Amelia, she has changed so much since they are gone. I am going to spend the night at their house tonight and spend the day with them tomorrow too so I won't be online.

Have a great weekend all! It's going to be gorgeous

Um....I TOTALLY understand the being a grown-up and having such a good friend in your parents!  Just know how lucky you are! :)  I had an amazing relationship with my mom.  Always - and it just grew with each child I had......They are as proud of us as we are of them....Cheri****! :)  Thanks for reminding me of my great times with my mom!

THank You :) I am going to have to get my Mom over to one of the cooking classes so she can meet everyone! She's only gotten to meet a few of you - Pam, Karen, Shauna and Lisa - but I know she would love you all!

Hi Liz,

You are not crazy to miss your parents.  And, I know how much a baby can change in a short amount of time.  I saw Lincoln in June and then again last week, and he had changed.  Now, I do not know the next time I will see my Munchkins, as the kids are not coming home for Christmas this year.  The trip is too hard for a short amount of time, and it is the year they do Christmas with the in-laws.

Have a great weekend.

Good morning Trish and all of PA - Trish - Mazel Tov on four years!  I am hoping that I am ALWAYS striving to do better!  So the, "not where I want to be" thing - while I understand what you mean - is not such a bad thing.  I truly believe that we should always try to do better know matter how good we aer feeling and in what place we are in in our lives!

I am down the shore - had a nice day in Cape May yesterday with the kids and my step-dad and his new wife.  Probably over did it as I was DEFINITELY more swollen last night - I measured - and am hanging on to more fluid - but it was fun nonetheless.  Today we are going into Brigantine to spend the day with friends - this day has been planned since the beginning of the summer.  I am hoping to go into AC to do some outlet shopping, but based on over doing it yesterday - I may just hang out with my girlfriend - while the hubbies take the kids to the beach.  Tonight we are headed into AC for a comedy club and dinner.  So looking forward to that!

I hope you all have a nice Saturday!
