Stuffed Cabbage Casserole

Stuffed Cabbage Casserole: Submitted by: Elster | Date Added: 24 Aug 2010

Ingredients:

Serves 6

1 lb ground turkey
14 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
4 cups chopped raw cabbage
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup water
1/2 cup Heinz 1 Carb Ketchup
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Cooking Instructions:

In a skillet cook turkey and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Drain fat and transfer to a slow cooker. Add cabbage and bell pepper.

In a medium bowl combine water and ketchup, then stir in the remaining ingredients. Pour over turkey mixture and mix well. Cover and cook on LOW 4-5 hours or until vegetables are tender.

I have made this and if you like the traditional stuff cabbage, it is great!!!  I skipped the bell pepper because I don't put them in my regular ones.

Thanks so much for your posts of recipes.  It's those things that help keep me on the straight and narrow on this journey.  I have been scribbling on cards to keep in a recipe file for future reference.  Between you and Liz and others on here, I have quite the array of choices.  Thanks for all you do for us on the board.
