Just testing the waters...Baby No. 2

Hubby has been asking if I feel like I could do it again. If you have been reading me over the last year it was quite a task to get pregnant (11 years) and the pregnancy was a little rough. I would love to have another one, but I feel like I get little sleep now (would I ever with another?) Also, would I be cheating Jakob after I worked so hard to get him here to have another real soon. Only timing issue is that I am 40 years old now and I think I will feel worse about waiting and doing it years from now...HELP. I know I'm only asking your opinions but what do you guys think enough time to wait between kids is? Am I being greedy???

Hubby suggested - since we didn't get pregnant for 11 years w/o protection we should go that route, and if it happens its meant to. (meanwhile, back at the lab, we have perfectly good embryos waiting to be used...decisions...decisions) Much to decide...HELP!! Oh, I said that already...

Hey there Chavon! We have decided to wait until probably next fall to start trying for baby #2, I want my kids to be fairly close together so they can play together. I don't think that it's unfair to Jakob at all. Maybe try the natural route for a while, pick a time frame with hubby then go back to the lab if nothing happens by then.

Good luck!

Hey Girlfriend!   I say Jakob is an absolute DOLL! and who wouldn't want another to play with??!!  Go for it!!!  (I'd do it while the body still remembers how it feels.   I think there is something to keeping the engine going once you've got the car started; you let it idle too long, it stalls when you give it gas.)  JMHO.

I would talk to your OB and see what he thinks... with the whole age etc thing... I would listen to him and your hubby!

It took us 7 years to get Lorelei (before WLS) and then had Annabelle about 15 months after WLS... and I was on BC... with Lore the whole 7 years we never used a thing for protection (Stupid PCOS)... so I understand the whole long wait thing... and I just turned 36... so while you have a few years on me on both I soooo get it... I think having Annabelle (the whole lack of sleep etc) was soooo much harder this time around and there is 3 years and about 3 months between them...

We have tried for 5 1/2 years with no protection, and i will be 41 next month.  I am going to try 1-2 years from now and if it does not happen, then we are done.

I personally don't think you are being greedy.....
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
