So I realized it was time to get a few new tops and finally had the chance to go out tonight. I was looking in the Misses section but the styles just were not me but ofcourse the Juniors section had some really cute tops. I can remember back 15yrs ago, at only 12yr old, going shopping and wanting to find clothes in the Juniors section, only for them to never fit and having to shop at Lane Bryant or the womens section. I never got to dress in my "style." I always had to settle for what fit and not what I liked. Well I figured what the hell, and grabbed an X Large top that I thought was cute and a Large of another (because it didn't come in X large). I never thought they would fit, I just wanted to see how close I was. THEY FIT!!! And looked cute too!! I really just wanted to cry. I found 6 new tops and I love every single one of them. I feel so good in them. I don't even recognize myself in the mirror. I'm in complete shock right now. I got home and had to try everything on again because I thought I had imagined it all lol. I just needed to share with everyone because I know you understand just how I feel right now. Love to all <3

Holly,

WOW!  Congratulations on your success.  I remember first meeting you at Barix when you were just beginning your journey.  I've watched you transform and it's AMAZING!  You look gorgeous!

I totally know how you feel about having to shop in Lane Bryant or other plus size stores when you were young.  I had the worst time finding a prom dress when I was in high school and ended up with this ugly dress because it was the only thing I could find that would fit.

Rock that new body and your junior sizes!!! You have worked hard for it!!! I can't wait to hear/read about more of your wows that are you sure to follow!!!!

Holly - you so totally are rocking this journey.  ENJOY shopping in those cool junior sizes!  And don't forget - if you can find a Plato's Closet near you, it's a wonderful resource - a re-sale shop geared primarily to junior sizes and focusing on designer wear (such as jeans) that's in excellent condition.. CHEAP.  You can also resell your clothes there and get credit toward new stuff.  It's a great resource, especially as sizes are continuing to change!

Enjoy it!!!

Am so happy for you Holly girl!  I understand wanting to cry in the dressing room when you check and recheck the tag that something without a bunch of x's actually fits!  I am so happy that you have choen this path early in life!  So, so happy for you!  Next stop, Trader Joe's!!  Once you are back at school, we will take a trip there one night - and maybe hit Nordstrom Rack..  fun stuff there too!!

Thats wonderful I can remember when fashion bug plus and lane bryant were my go-to now I walk right past them and head for Forever 21.  I so love that store.  This is our payback for our hard work.  Keep up the good work.  That is really wonderful! I can remember walking thru a Walmart stoping in front of a full length mirrow looking into it and my daughter said to me Mom what are you looking at?  I replied me and kissed the mirror not caring if anyone saw me. She rolled her eyes and I laughed and said to her Heather I worked damn hard to be able to do this.  So kiss that mirror!
