Good morning all of PA!  It is magnificent for me as today Larry and I are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary.  Of course, we are celebrating by my sitting in the recliner - hoping to NOT spike another fever, nor get light headed and draining my drains....ah.....we are such a party couple! :)

Yesterday was a CRAZY day.  Woke up with a slight fever that continued to rise throughout the day and I basically felt like the flu had over taken my body.  Aches and pains - and they had VERY little to do with the surgery.  I was freezing and couldn't find a comforatble place.  I ended up NOT going to my brother-in-laws house which made me VERY sad, but I did get to speak to the resident on call at the surgeon's office.  I think I fell in love again...so sweet with a great southern accent! :)

Am on another anti-biotic as we think that the fever is due to an infection - took a percocet to help with the fever and so I could sleep - and here I am at 3:45 - NOT sleeping.  I think I finally fell asleep about 1:15 and woke up at 3.  ugh!!!!!  Recuperating is TOUGH work.  I don't handle set-backs very well at all!  My day will be to take it easy again, hang out in the recliner and nap.  What a way to ring in our 18th year of marriage.  And...to top it off, Larry is back to work tonight for two.  I tell you...we are a crazy couple!

In all honesty - I do hope your Monday is Magnificent!

Happy Anniversary and Mazel Tov on your Chai year of wedded bliss.    I hope you are feeling better today and can at least do a little something fun.

I picked Siehara up from camp yesterday.  What a long day.  I left here around 7:30, stopped at Sheetz for latte...driving and making good time.  About 90 mins in, I have to pee, so I pull off at an exit and find a McDonald's.. I go to get back on the highway and somehow ended up going the wrong way.. at least 30 mins lost.. figure out where I am and find out I basically drove backwards.  Get back on the turnpike (which I had already gotten off and was done with) and drive the 30 mins back to where I had been.  Get all the way to the last major turn before camp and there is an accident on the road and nobody is telling us how to get around it.  (OYE)  SOOOO, I'm already late and now I can't get down the road.  Called the camp, they redirected me.. the new way is 30 more minutes out of the way.  I was supposed to be at camp between 9-11, didn't get there til about 12.. sigh... Going home, I was able to go around the accident the same way I came.  we stopped for lunch in Wilkes-Barre and then headed home.  We're on the last stretch of the PA turnpike and there's a load of traffic as we are approaching the Lehigh Tunnel.. thank goodness we hit it before we got to the Lehighton exit, as I know how to go the back way.  I got off in Lehighton and made my way home.... finally.  We didn't get home until almost 5.. what an adventure.  OYE

Siehara told me all about camp for the first hour.  She was so happy and so excited and it made me so happy for her!!!

ANYWAY.... this is about today... work til 3:30, go to another synagogue member's house to show her how to update the Lehigh Valley Jewish Federation website.

From there, dinner and gym

If napping and listening to Larry yell at the kids to put things away before the cleaning people get here - then....WAHOO!!!!  I am in for a BANNER day!

And this SHOULD be the best year yet - so long as today is NOT an indication! :)

Steffi recovering from a tummy tuck and breast lift has many challenges. Dont let it get you down. Just rest and remember what a huge surgical undertaking it was. Anyone who knew me when I had mine, will remember what a rough time it was for me, and what a big WHINER I WAS. not to say you are, you are handling it like a trooper. I just dont think anyone is truly prepared for what the recovery is like.
Today I have a full day of work, then my goal is to take care of loose ends with my pratice, and get back into the habit of taking care of me. Excercise and blog work this afternoon

You were SO not a whiner!  Come deal with my patients and I'll show you whining!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

You are totally right.  Like I said - I am NOT good with set-backs.  I was feeling so well and maybe I over-did it.  Who knows.  I don't have a lot of patience.  I have chosen NOT to even go upstairs today.  Larry brought down my toothbrush and I am staying on one floor today.  Thanks for the reminder of what I just did to improve myself.  All good things take time and I need to relax and realize that I still have two and a half weeks to recover before I go back to work!

Hi PA!

Very busy weekend with a house full of people!  Lots of fun!  Two leave today and the others on Wednesday!

A half day of work but that's ok.  Everyone sleeps in anyway.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Good morning PA!

I am getting started on some work early this morning, then have PT at 9:30. That will run till about 11, so it's a marathon after that point to get some work accomplished. I am down to the wire on some deadlines for a meeting this week. Today and tomorrow are IT.

Mike's son Matt is home on leave - what a relief to have him on US soil. There is a tension with him deployed that is really palpable. He is home for 2 weeks - we will see him next weekend - then back to Afghanistan till December.

Let's get this week rolling!

Morning, PA!!!

Steffi---Happy anniversary to you and Larry!!!

I was up last night too, Stef.  You, Susan, and I could have done a 3-way call!  lol  I was feeling great yesterday, then started having pain in my surgical area last night.  I probably should have taken a percocet so I could sleep, but I didn't.  I'm not even sure if that's why I couldn't sleep.  Came out to the sofa to read, then was able to fall asleep.  And of course, Paul got up a couple of hours later and realized I was gone, so he came out to check on me.  Asked if I was ok before seeing if I was asleep.  Which woke me up.  And once I'm up, I'm up.  I think it's the humidity that's bothering me, actually.  Gonna overrule Paul soon (even though it's his condo!) and put on the AC.  I already warned him about that because I'm not allowed to exert the pressure it takes to close these windows, so he either has to cooperate or the AC runs with the windows open.

Not much happening today, other than the AC war.

Have a great day, everyone!!!
