Wow!
Saturday just flew on by.  Caleb & I did a 100+ mile motorcycle poker run to benefit the Relay for Life for my company.  It was a fun time.  Then 1 hour after that was done I was hiking him into the woods with his scout troop for can camping.  ALL  supplies (food, shelter, etc,,) had to fit in a coffee can (excep****er).  I am sure he will not be getting a good nights sleep tonight.  We pick him up at 9 a.m. and head near of Harrisburg for my husband's family reunion.  I am sure no one except his immediate family will know who the heck I am...LOL.  Then we are going near Hershey and Mon & Tues are going to enjoy Hersheypark.  Caleb had never been there, so it should be a fun 2 days.  I can ride a bunch of rides now that my health is better and I physically can do them now, so I am excited to go also.  Have a great Sunday everyone!

Morning all....

today is SIEHARA SUNDAY for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Yes, there is a good reason why I am up so freakin early on a Sunday.  I am leaving shortly to get my girl back from camp.  I have definitely missed her, but the break was good for both of us.  I am now ready to start things off on a new positive track!!!

The wedding last night was beautiful.  The ceremony was just wonderful and spiritual.  It was filled with Jewish Tradition and love.  I'll write more about the wedding when I have time, but MY BIG moment was when I decided to try on a hot pink dress in my closet that didn't fit when it was given to me a few months ago, and was actually falling off my shoulders last night!!

Well, off to get the coffee and the girl.  I'm sure she won't let me come home without stopping to see Judy (and the rest of the Caine family).  Tonight, I am supposed to go to choir practice, but it will depend on Siehara.

Have a great day!!

Such a busy life and then I wonder why Monday comes around so quickly. . .

Yesterday was busy (visitation for my roommates b/f who is in prison), produce shopping, food prep for a party and then the party, AA women's meeting, Friendly's afterwards and then hanging out and waiting for AAA to come to rescue one of our friends who had an issue with her car, but we all had fun in the parking lot while we waited, acting like unruly teenages (lol), so bedtime came way too late. . today I have house stuff, indoor and outdoor to take care of and then a pool party in the afternoon. . .  then it will be an AA meeting, coffee with a friend and off to bed and back to the reality of the work week. . .  15 more working days to vacation!

Hoping everyone has a good day today and prayers and good wishes for Swede and his family.

Laureen

Good Morning PA,

I had a great appointment with Dr. Brader on Thursday.  My mom and I did some shopping before and after the appointment.  He doesn't want to see me for a year - wahoo!

Friday was my last yoga class.  Thank goodness!  I can't stand yoga... the meditation part kills me and "No, I cannot clear my mind!"

Yesterday I started back at the gym.  I am allowed to use the elliptical for a limited amount of time and with no resistance.  I have to keep up with my range of motion until I meet with the surgeon.

Today I was suppose to go out on the boat with my friends but it is cloudy and looks like rain.  So, right now I am enjoying my coffee and maybe I will just have a lazy Sunday.

Have a great day!

Hi PA!

We have a house full of family.  Seven in all for a few days.  Then down to five on until Wednesday.    Always fun!

Good Morning Sara & PA:

Yesterday was the 53rd Devers family reunion in Minersville, PA and 11 months since my surgery.  Awesome day spent with the family.  Met some new cousins that Gene has not seen in 20+ years.  One can never get tired of hearing how tiny you are  and how awesome you look, and all the other amazing compliments I received yesterday.  One of Gene's cousins children got engaged at the reunion.  I think Gene started a new trend 8/9/2003 when he proposed to me at the reunion, since then 3 more engagements have happend there....

Today is hopefully a little more laid back, church, then to see Gene's mom who is in rehab for her shoulder, should be there a couple more weeks.  She is being tested for C-Dif hoping she does not get that again.  The last time she had it was soooo draining for her.  Also taking the camera so she can see the reunion.  Then to whole foods to pick up some more yogurt and supplies in prepration for next week after my oral surgery on Monday.  I'm pretty sure I'll be using my full liquids plan I was on after my WLS for at least a week.

I'm off on vacation for next week.  The last time I had oral surgery I was flat out for a week.  Not sure why that surgery affects me so badly, but I planned ahead this time and took the week off.  Hopefully it will not turn out as I plan and I'll enjoy some of it.

Hope everyone has a great day....

 Good Sunday Morning,
Today i have moved from clear fluids on to the next bigger and better thing lol.  I have started on thickened liquids.  I started my day with the old stand by of a protein shake made with lots of water and an extra portion of fiber.  I am nervous knowing that this will be an adjustment- but i think i am ready.  I am slowly sip sip sippping the drink and so far so good.  I was thinking of takingthe Children to the Pittsburgh Zoo today but i am concerned about the possibility of "adjustment issues" with the shake.  I figured i would give it an hour or two to see how it all works itself out.

Good Morning Sara & PA,

Sara, what an awesome weekend of trying new things!

I am off for a manicure & pedicure this morning, then we are going to go for a bike ride, then to whole foods to do some food shopping and then if the weather holds, we may be heading over to hang out in our friends pool.

Had a great time at dinner last night, couldn't eat much though due to how fatty most of the things were.

That's all for me!

Have a great day PA!

I am having a lazy day today..........PERIOD!

Yesterday was working, going to a cookout at a co-workers, then having a sandwich and an adult beverage with Johnny before heading home. It was a nice evening, with beautiful weather.

Today will we just catch up on laundry, watch football and the Nascar race, and just chill. Tonight one of his closest friends is coming over to have dinner and maybe play some Yhatzee with us.

Hope everyone had a glorious weekend.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
