Nicole..............I love Green Dragon! I wanted to go there today but am too tired from a bad night at work. Have fun!

Lisa, live it up. It's so hard to have a social life with kids. Your life is revolved around theirs and it's certainly nice to have "adult" time, although I know you miss her.

I am heading to bed soon. After calling security on the patient I mentioned in yesterdays post, it was just a rough night. I will sleep about 3 hours today that way I can get back into a "normal sleep schedule for a few days. I am not scheduled to work again until wednesday night, however I volunteered to coverhalf a shift tomorrow afteroon so a co-worker can get to her family reunion on time.

Also have to go refill some new neds the hematologist is giving me, and hope to get to the bank.
Tonight, I am attempting my own homemade "Chickies" crab fries. I have been craving them, and Johnny loves them. So I thought I would whip up my own "healthier" veron and see how that goes.

Hope everyone has a fabulous day!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Good morning all!!

I finally slept in bed last night instead of on the sofa. Almost got up and went back to the sofa! I had trouble getting comfortable but then did manage to fall alseep. Had a weird dream though.

I think today we're finally packing up and heading to the beach. I just have a few things to get together and need to do a few things like put the trash out before we go. Unfortunately, I still have some limitations for lifting, so Paul will have to do most of the work.

Have a great day, all!!!

ETA: Maura---good luck today with your appointment!! I'll be thinking of you and hoping for the best!!!

Yes its finally Friday - one long week, that's for sure!

I'm at work hanging out - people are slowly filtering into the office. Should be a quiet day, tho.

This weekend we have some plans - dominoes with our neighbors tomorrow night and Sunday we're meeting friends at Chickie & Pete's in South Philly - I am finally going to get my crabby fries fix! I don't eat fries since my RNY but I can eat C&P's and love them, so this is a real treat for me!

Other than that I'll be rounding up the dust bunnies in the house, finishing putting together a new TV stand with hubby, and playing Hagatha The Scrub Queen around the house - everybody's welcome to come join the fun!!

Hope you all have a great Friday and weekend - Kathy

OMG! I think we were posting at the same time.

BUT......I am craving Chickies & Petes Crab fries sooooooo bad. (Steffi's fault) It's all I thought about all week. So I am going to try and make my own tonight. I know they won't be the same, but I am pretty sure I can come up with a kick assed version that will taste great.

since they sounded so good here is the recipe I found online as a knock off of C&P Crabby Fries sauce. It said that the fries are just fries with old bay. I don't know though, never had them

INGREDIENTS:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 1/2 cups milk
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1/8 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 cup shredded white Cheddar cheese

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. Combine the cream cheese, milk, mayonnaise, horseradish, and Old Bay Seasoning ™. Mix until creamy. Spread mixture into an 8x12 inch baking dish, and bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 35 to 40 minutes.
3. Remove mixture from oven and spoon into bowl. Cover the top with the shredded cheese and more seasoning. Serve after cheese melts.

You're killing me, Liz!! I just saw this post - I just might have to try this, altho if I just stick to when I can get to C&P's I'll probably be much better off!

This looks like a very challenging recipe - see if your cooking class can whip up a WLS friendly version!

no problem! Use fat free or reduced fat cream cheese, light mayo and low fat cheese :) I'd say it would be a "treat" item. Maybe make it for a birthday or for a special occasion
