Good morning, all!!!

Nothing happening here today.  We were planning to leave for the beach after my appointment yesterday, but that didn't happen.  Paul had woken up with one of his headaches on Monday morning, and it's just zapped his energy this week.  I think he's doing better, but I'm not going on any car trips with him till I'm sure he's ok.  No rush in going, other than Verizon is replacing our cell phones, and Paul had them shipped to the beach house.  Oh well.

I'm feeling soooo much better every day!  I have to keep reminding myself that I still need to take it easy, though.  I've learned that a hysterectomy can require hundreds of internal stitches, so it's important not to overdo it.  Because my fibroids were so big, I'm guessing there was more internal work than I anticipated, and I really don't want to cause adhesions.  I'm so grateful for my weight loss that allowed me to find this issue and take care of it!!!

For someone who has nothing going on in her life, I sure manage to blab for a bit, don't I??

Have a great day, everyone!!!  So glad we're finally getting some rain!!!

VSG on 08/05/10 with
Day 6 for me from my VSG.  I have lost a fair amount of weight.  The doc said 7 days of clear liquids however i feel very well.  That is 7 days from discharge which is Sunday.  I am working on maintaining the wait.  I had no issues with the 14 days of liquid pre-op.  But i want to do something more then drink clear liquids today.  I also would like to go for a walk, etc but it is so hot and humid.  I will be dropping off the kids at football and cheerleading and then coming back home.  Isn't that exciting!!!!

Hey Bill!!

Hang in there!!!  I remember too well how frustrated I was with liquids following my surgery.  Stick to your doc's food plan and follow the rules---give your body time to heal rather than testing the waters just yet.  Sunday and the next food stage will be here before you know it!!!  Instead of looking ahead to Sunday, try to just focus on one day at a time.  You can stick to liquids today, right?  Then tell yourself that again tomorrow!  Come to the board if you're frustrated!!!  Or feel free to text me 484-716-2533.  Use your support system, stick to the rules, and keep your eye on the prize!!!  You can do this!!!
