Lisa is visiting her now and asked me to post an update

Deb is doing much better, she has been up and walking. Still in some pain but nothing that isn't to be expected. Getting another bag of potassium then she'll walk some more. She is sipping and having some jello. Lisa said that she is in good spirits!

Yaaaay!!  I can't get up there today :( I'm in triage tonight which means I can't leave the desk.  Hopefully in the morning!

Deb really looked good when I was there.

She was in ICU because her surgery took longer than expected and they wanted to keep her on the respirator because of her sleep apnea.  There was a mass of some sort that they think may have just been so weird bit of fat that they had to go around.  They told her that they performed the surgery the way they used to do it 3 years ago, not the way they are doing it now.  They went around the bladder a different way or something like that.  She wasn't exactly clear.  So, she had a good night's sleep last night in her regular room on good pain killers.  Now, they have her on Tylenol with codeine.  She ate jello and sipped water and juice while I was there.  We walked 1/2 way down the hall and she is really in good spirits!

She expects to come home either tomorrow or Friday.

Yea, when I stopped by last night very briefly she was sleeping well and her nurse said she had gotten some good meds.  She (the nurse) couldn't tell me anything else, due to Hippa and what not, so I'm glad to have gotten the story.  Thanks again!
