Manic Monday Roll Call?
There is too much week and not enough weekend! Another action packed weekend but yesterday was sorta quiet we had brunch with friends then spent the afternon with my Aunt and cousin.
I had come home on Saturday night finally admitted some stuff to Den about what I am feeling and we agreed to work on it. He already knew but think he was just waiting for me to admit then talked to my Aunt. Of course being my second Mom she knew as well was just waitng for me to admit things.
So today in work doing a few personal things like bill pay and appiontment scheduling while here. Then tonight I must food shop then I will be relaxing at home.

Morning all!
Had a very low key weeknd. Did some laundry, read a lot, and caught up on a bunch of stuff on the DVR.
Did manage to get all my protein in - which is hard for me on the weekends. I tend to forget to eat when I'm at home.
Working my butt off today - I hate Mondays. Skipping the gym tonight for a walk with my Mom this evening when the sun goes down.
Oh, and it's official - my hair is starting to fall out. I noticed about a week ago, but have been trying to ignore it as "normal" hair loss. Not so much.
Have a great Monday all!

Sadly hair loss is one of the uglier side-effects of this surgery, but the good thing is it does grow back and mine has actually come back healthier and fuller than it ever was before. Mine got very thin around my face for the most part...but again, as your protein intake increases and your body adjusts the hair will come back.
Good morning all - I was in the OC, MD vicinity all weekend, which is why I was absent from posting here. We were in Fenwick at our friends' lovely beach house sunning and funning all weekend!
Had my appt with the endocronologist this morning - I have 4 nodules on my thyroid - 2 that she's concerned about. One because its fairly large and the other because its showing calcium in it (which I'm taking is not a good thing?). Anyway, now I have to schedule a needle biopsy with a radiologist because she can't feel the big one well enough to do it in her office, so I'll have to go have it done via an ultra-sound assist. I also need more bloodwork for her, so I have that schedule and have been trying to get thru to radiology to schedule the biopsy. Oh joy.
Hubby's cataract surgery was a huge success and now he can't wait to have the other eye done - I'm so pleased that it turned out as good as it did because I know he was really nervous, but now he's sorry he waited so long.
Other than that not much else going on for me - back at work today - and here the rest of the week.

I had this done too, I don't want to scare you but it isn't fun. I didn't have any sedation, you are totally awake. I would let hubby take you too, I was pretty sore afterwards. Maybe ask if you can take a few advil (with food and pepcid of course) before hand. Needles in your neck are never fun!
Not sure what the cacium in the nodule means, mine were always fluid filled. Oh and when they drained it it looked like mud water, I was expecting it to be clear - not brown!
Good luck hun!

Thanks for the heads up, Liz - the doctor said they would numb the area but I would definitely feel discomfort when they put pressure on the nodules to draw the fluid (or whatever) is in there. And she said on that bigger one they would insert the needle several times to make sure they're getting a good 'overall' picture of that particular nodule.
I have some really good pain meds left from my breast biopsy - I might take one of them - they're along the lines of the good old 'I don't give a damn' drug! You know they're messing around but you really don't care!
Ooh - they showed you the fluid they drew out? Not sure I want to see that. I've had needle biopsies before but never in my neck - always in my breast - and they weren't pleasant either.
I think good drugs and hubby taking me are just what Dr Liz ordered - thanks!!

Good luck! I know I've been sporatic posting on here at best...but I check my email incessently - so either email me or send me a PM here if you need anything - I get the PM notifications into my inbox so I know I'll see it!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
Thanks!! Haven't been able to schedule the appt yet - hopefully today, and more bloodwork on Saturday. I did send my bloodwork to Dr Boe and he said its not unusual for 'us' to have higher liver enzyme levels so he wasn't concerned at all - especially since they were so minor.
Will keep you posted on the whole stinking thyroid thing - argh!!
