Trish, good luck wading thru the red tape. But I am glad the SSD came through for you. My brother had to fight for years to get benefits.
I am on the sofa again today. The knee hurts like crazy to be honest. Pain meds make me sleepy, dopey, and grumpy. That's 3 of the 7 dwarves. Maybe I can work on Happy. And it's all because of the Doc. Hope I don't get Sneezy.
Oh jeez...sorry about that. I've never been too bashful.
Doesn't look like I'll be at Barix tomorrow with all this going on. I had hoped to shake off the pain meds and drive over but not to be.
Anyway, I hope you all have a beautiful Friday. Humidity is supposed to break. Maybe I can limp out to the deck and stretch out in the sun for a while later on.

I've been AWOL a few days, but just kinda popping in to see what's new and exciting here. Hope everyone recovering from their recent procedures is doing well.
Working today until 6pm and then this evening's plans are pretty much up in the air. We were going to go to the Ironpigs game tonight but Erin forgot to get a babysitter, so I think we're going to just give the tickets to her parents and hang with the kids. It'll be a fun night anyway. Thought about taking the girls to the drive-in tonight, but there doesn't appear to be any kid friendly movies playing at either of the ones around here.
That's about it for me. Our weekend is, as usual, pretty hectic. Work tomorrow 11a-11p on a medic shift and then my sister-in-law is having a picnic / party on Sunday, which equals me being the hired help for the day. Gotta love family!

Finally Friday ......
Last night I got a chance to visit Steffi for alittle bit and she looks so good. Her boobs even made me jealous. Just kidding :)
Today has me at work then going to a surprise 40th dinner party for a friend then tomorrow is First Saturday at Barix. Once home from there I hope to get a nap for at least an hour before I head out to see Jimmy Buffet with life long friend Elisa.
Sunday I plan to do food shopping then just relax. As much as I do in this new life I have to admit I am starting to run out of enegry and feeling drained. Plus my head has been out of sorts since returning from vacation.

Good morning Trish - while I am happy for you - I am sad for my daughter - seeing as though she is an incoming seventh grader - I was hoping you would be back....but - I am thrilled that things are moving in the right direction for you!
I didn't sleep really well unfortunately - couldn't find a comfortable place for myself in the recliner. My neck was bothering me - not sure what that is all about - but I was reminded today that as a person who is currently not working - I can nap whenever I want! YAY! I had larry bring me down some clothes today and I am actually sitting up at the computer feeling somewhat human. We both looked at me and just kind of were weirded out - not sure how to handle my new body - and I am still under lots of binding. We are heading out of the house for a little later today - He has an appointment at the synagogue and I just want to get out - so I am going with him.
The rest of the day is staying cool in my house and continued recuperation! LOVED being visited by Beth yesterday - definitely a highlight!

Trish---Glad you got SSDI---it's so hard to get!
I checked in on roll call on my cell phone earlier this morning, but it takes too long to respond from there. Here I am at my computer now! (Been living on the sofa, but I have a computer chair and a tray table set up in the bedroom so I can watch tv and be online. I haven't been getting online early because I don't want to wake Paul up. Poor man hasn't been sleeping well, with worrying about me and having to take care of everything for me.
I'm feeling pretty good now. Minimal pain around my surgery site. I only took pain meds before bed last night. I'm hoping to go out for a little while today to pick up a few things. I was out of sorts yesterday---didn't know what I wanted to eat or drink, was bored with tv/reading/computer. Hopefully today will be better.
Maybe I'll convince Paul to take me to Barix for the meeting tomorrow.
I do have some happy news today. When I got on the scale this morning, it said 158.8!!! Woo hoo!!!
I was so excited, I got off the scale and weighed myself again!!! 
I had been stuck around 166 for a long time, so I'm thinking some of that may have been the lovely tumors I was lugging around. Anyway, I'm thrilled with today's number. I don't think I've been in the 150s since junior high!
